ciao
I was wondering if there are any signs that indicate an anemone is about to split??? Does it usually split at the mouth? Or does it usually grow another one before it splits? Sometimes I think mine wants to split and then sometimes not......just wanted to know if there was things to look out for. wanareef
It'll disappear on you and you won't see it for several days. one of mine went hiding but I spotted it the next day kind of streched out - longer than what I usually see and then noticed where the mouth is there's rock. Just make sure you run carbon to clear up the mucus cause it'll kill those sps.

aguess
My green BTA just split on Saturday; when I left that morning around 11 to head up to PDX, it had moved into a hole in the rock, then when I got home at 10pm it was magically in both the original rock and a new one right next to it. All in one day, it wasn't acting funny the day before either.
epicenter
I have a rose that divides into 3 about every 9 to 12 months, it disappeares as wannareef described & within a week 3 emerge from their hiding place. I also notice the animal turns a deep almost purple red just prior to the split.
