2 Questions.....how many babies is this thing going to make? And when is on going to drop off?

This fungia keeps making new ones. I now have a third one coming in on the back side and the second one is almost as big as the first. In fact, it seems to be impeding with the first one's growth.

uh...well...I don't know. This was a hijacker on another rock I bought. What I can say is they don't like high flow. Med to low is better. I noticed that in med flow this thing grew and grew. Also, I have it in relatively high light and I used to target feed it...still do sometimes.

hey eric, I suppose on here im the original fungia farmer, since almost everyone has one from me :) haha I have had my fungia farm for 2 years now. There are about 15 heads on it and i get one popping off every 2 months or so. Over the two years i've sold about 25 of them! It will come off on it's own accord then leave a little base with some tissue on it. In a couple of weeks that will form into another fungia. They usually start coming off their stalks when they are about the size of a 50 cent piece. You can also speed it up if you grab the base and wiggle the fungia up and down, if it is ready to come off it will snap of easily, if not wait and give it more time. Dont worry about them growing on top of each other, it doesn't effect their health in anyway. I have some that are two to three deep :) Here is a pic
