Jay
I got some epsom salt from walgreens that comes in a blue milk carton type container. Is is walgreens brand. Is this good for adjusting my levels in my mixing barrel when I am mixing up a new batch of water for water changes? Do I just pour it right into the water? How much should I need to add to 55 gallons? I was going to start with 1 cup or 2 cups then let it mix and measure after 3 or 4 hours. I already have the water up to nsw levels of salt. Rick
Here you go, Use this to calculate the amount: http://reef.diesyst.com/flashcalc/flashcalc.html I used this last time I added some to my tank. I simply poured it into my sump a bit at a time over about an hour. (It ended up taking one of the smaller boxes) I was only bringing the magnesium up a small amount though. If I had to bring it up further I would have done it over a few days instead.
