nwcoralfarm
That would be just fine, however it is all going to mix together at some point though anyway, for the most part at least.

nwcoralfarm
It's good to have a mix of sizes.
snowpunk
One thing I noticed in my tank, be it good or bad I don't know, is that my larger pieces always tend to surface above the smaller stuff. I personally don't like the big stuff so I am constantly taking it out when I can...
reefboy
I like to do a mixture of size's it gives you a more diverse amount of organisms living in your sand bed and also helps to keep water movement blowing it around.
impur
Just like a bag of potato chips, the smallest sizes will make their way down to the bottom.
