Is there a place locally (Salem/Eugene) to get Tropical Play Sand

When I was on the East Coast, I got my substrate sand from Home Depot and Southdown Tropical Play Sand. I have been trying to find a source locally for white oolitic Aragonite based sand for my substrate that doesn't cost a fortune. The Southdown used to be about $4.00 for 50#s. The LFSs what about $40.00s for the same thing.

 

Can anyone help?

I just picked up a 100lb bag # 16 from Willamette Greystone of silica ( recommended by Impur) and it looks great!

Too bad you didn't buy extra and move it with you. If you had a pallet it would be gone in a heart beat. That's always been the problem from east to west coast - the cost of argonite sand being cheap and in almost every HD DOH!

Yah they stopped doing the aragonite play sand. Luckily silica is just as cheap and looks just as good!

They still sell southdown just not locally. I have seen it available from many east coast suppliers for $4-$5 a bag its just a matter of getting a pallet of it over here.
