wegotjs
I originally bought this True Atlantis superman from Upscales about 2 years ago. GREAT COLOR true blues and reds . Now I have it up in my new tank for about 5 months really close to the top. About 3 nights ago I did a double take as there are now about 20 green polyps on top of it. Anybody have this happen. I went from a great superman to a rainbow that I don't want or need as I already had one. Wierd ,I'll see if I can get a pic but it's hard to do with the spot it is. newfisher
I am no expert, but I have heard that pokerstart and rainbow both add or loose a color at times and it fools the best of them. Mabey it was what it now is and it just didn't like where it was?
nwcoralfarm
I have bought Supermans and that started off as one thing and then change to something completely different. I believe it to be caused by a difference in the atmosphere like, lighting, calcium, alk, ph maybe, and other things.
impur
I have a superman that turned into a rainbow as well. It was a dull superman, but now its a super nice rainbow. I also have a really nice rainbow that turned into a pokerstar. I moved it to just slightly less lights and thats when it changed.
newfisher
IMO that's what makes this hobby what it is, always changing and never the same.
stylaster
very true you can take the same coral frag it and put it in 10 different tanks and it will look 10 different ways
siskiou
Well, I got a piece of brown encrusting monti that turned into a beautiful rainbow! Maybe all these just respond to different lighting and other conditions, and aren't really different montis at all?
