C0lin
So, it's a very short move(maybe 5 miles), and I just need to know the best way to go about this. I was thinking about buying a cooler and using zip-lock bags for 1 or 2 fish depending on size. It's freshwater, so no coral or anything. Thanks in advance. theJenchild
Yep, plastic bags, and a cooler should do the trick. Good luck!
Krux
5 gallon buckets work well too, more water volume to keep temp and wq up while you get the new tank situated and set back up.
cwinson85
yeah i recently moved a 100g FW tank and a 30. Bought about 8 5g buckets from HD and everyone made it....
Smann
I have a few 5g buckets with lids that you are welcome to borrow or maybe someone in your area has some salt buckets with lids. Good luck, take it slow
nwcoralfarm
I would say the same thing, 5 gallon buckets with lids work great. Also helps you to save as much of the original water to ease the transition.
dsoz
If you can, move the tank on a differet day than everything else. Just moving a tank usually takes a full day. Everything else also can take a full day. Unless you like LOOOOOONG days and the mistakes that sometimes occur. I moved from Ashand to Gresham several years ago. Including a stop overnight in a hotel. (pack everything and clean in one day, drive 1/2 way. Sleep. Drive other half and unpack the second day). Heater and powerhead while in the hotel. Everything did fine and survived the trip. dsoz
C0lin
I'm pretty sure it's going to be the last thing I move. I'm definitely going to go get some buckets with lids. That seems like the easiest/cleanest way to do it. Thanks for all the help guys.
