CA2OR
so at first I thought the zoa's were glued on, but after watching I saw the crab is actually holding on with it's back legs....crazy.(nutty)
nwcoralfarm
How cool, I think I just got one of these guys the other day as a hitchhiker. We will find out, I will load him up with the blingingest zoo's I have.......and if it crushes him.............then he is a different kind, HA! CA2OR
now that is my kind of idea....after seeing this video I have thought about gluing zoa's onto my snails....horrible I know.
Rick
When I was searching my hitchhike crab yesterday I found references to crabs that will use anemones and zoas to hide itself.
CA2OR
well I know decorator crabs do something similar....but this guy picked up a little colony. That is crazy
Guest Snorkelwasp
urchins do the same...my friend had a decorator crab with like 4 different polyps on it...bad thing is they always hide and shade the corals
CA2OR
bummer....that is pretty interesting though. I often thought I would want a decorator crab, but I don't want anything snipping at my corals.
snowpunk
I had thought about glueing a different piece of monti to each of my snails to tell them apart and get some nice colored shells. If they die then I could just glue the shell down and in no time it would be out of site. I also have pocillipora growing on my mag float. I didn't put it there either. I think I have had some coral spawning gowing on at some point. It is a very very small piece right now but it is living and growing... theJenchild
I had a green mushroom that was attached to a large shell when I bought it. Shortly there after a hermit decided to move into the shell and packed that mushroom around for weeks.
undrtkr_00
Mushrooms would be good to glue on 'cause even if your buddy stayed in the shade they wouldn't die back too soon. I may have to give that one a try...
CA2OR
lol....you don't wanna try with your next competition pieces?(naughty), then again if it works, and you winDOH!
