Danik
i have a option of getting a 300gal acrylic tank made by midwest custom aquariums. its 96" long 30" deep and 25" tall. what is a reasonable price some one would pay for it. its in very good condition and 3/4in all sides 1/2" top and bottom. any ideas would be helpful. thanks Danik
spectra
My guess would be about 3 to 3500. I know an Envission tank that was a little deeper but still 8 foot and made out of thicker I think sold for 4500. How many overflows are on it as that can add to the cost also. Danik
two overflows, three holes on the top. and a steel power coated stand with a 60 gal sump. all of that for $2K, the tank was used for one year. and in good shape.
CCR
Then why ask?
finch6013
sounds like a deal
Rick
That sounds like the price is way too high. Better let us know where it is instead so we can steer clear of it.(naughty)(drooler) Seriously though it sounds like a decent deal if it's what your looking for. I know where another 300 is with different dimensions (48x48x30) for $4500. I have to admit it is pretty nice with starphire glass, a very nice stand, and is new (All it needs is a dual ballast for the lights as far as I could tell). If I had the money and a little more space I would be jumping all over it.
Danik
i'll probably get it, it's just a 180mile drive each way. thanks for your input.
ThePremiumAquarium
Yah Danik, go for it. That is a great deal and well worth the drive. Nice demensions too! I think you would be hard pressed to find a better deal. Garrett

reef165
Good choice! even to build it yourself materials woulda cost ya about $900 to $1100 for the acrylic alone then add the stand. your getting a sweet deal!!
impur
I know a guy with a 300 gal acrylic tank, stand, hood, lights, pumps all you need you could probably get it for ~$3k turnkey system. The tank needs some work but dang its huge. He has nice equip too, Tunze, external pumps, beckett skimmer, sump, etc....

Danik
Tank, stand, two new blue line pumps, 60gal sump and some huge filter thing that I will not use. So I need to get new lights and a skimmer. I ended up paying the guy only $1400, he was pretty drunk when I picked it up. And he paid close to 5k for tank sump and stand from midwest custom aquarium. So iam pretty happy.
