Zoolander
I was talking to my fish guy about buying a false perc and he asked how many I wanted. I was just going to buy one but I suppose two or three wouldn't be bad. Is there an ideal number for these guys? The last one I had schooled with my Chromis' and was happy as can be with them. The tank is a 55 gallon and at the moment there are only the Chromis' and a Goby for fish. Thanks for the help.
Barelycuda
I would purchase at least 2, then it will have a mate/buddy. You can purchase more than 2 if they are all juvenilles. I have sold a batch of 15 juvenilles that one person wanted for a 180g tank. Dave
CA2OR
I have 3 and they get along great. It is more entertaining for me to have 3 than
Zoolander
Really? I was thinking two but after what you posted...
CA2OR
oh no. Dont take my word for it. I was told repeatedly not to get the 2 new ones but I did anyway because I am stubborn. I most likely just got lucky. If you don't have any though I believe you can get however many you like

MedRed
so beautiful! I was considering a false perc, black melanistic, and a nakie. They are all ocellaris, but probably too different looking especially for a 34 gallon tank. I think i'm going to go with 2 nakeds
