I would assume ammonia is running wild, probably time for some Prime and do a wet skim water change. With skimmer overflowing, drain skimmate into bucket and replace with fresh salt water (do about 5 gals this way, direct change more). Definitely need more than a 5 gal change, with things this off id try and do more like 15 gal change.

It’s a bit of a trek to Camas, but I have lots of easy corals for cheap. Green polyp toadstool, orange rodactus, GSP, rainbow BTAs, frogspawn, and all the Mohawk zoas you want lol

I have tons of rainbows, nice green center to orange/pink tips. Lots of sizes if you let me know ahead of time how big you want. I am in Camas.

Upside down didn’t work for me and I had to work them off too. What ended up helping a bit was a floss pick like the one pictured. You can get that point slid under and start working it up. Good luck!

If you end up adding a manual float valve, you should add a siphon break, similar to what Neptune ATK has. That way the pump has some pressure relief should the float be up but pump is still running. https://shop.neptunesystems.com/products/siphon-break not sure about other solenoids for shut down. For a sensor that interrupts the pump, you could use something like the autoaqua smart shutoff, the down side is they don’t reset themselves and alarm until you manually reset them. They are more of a skimmate safety than anything.

Welcome! I’m also in Camas so when you are ready for some easy corals, hit me up. Nice thing these days is there are so many nano based products for setting up smaller tanks. These forums are also great for second hand gear if you want to save some money too. I’d second using chemipure media, good stuff and comes in small sizes too.

Closest thing I’ve had is the ATK turning to off if it runs too long, it’s a safety programming built in (timer for max run time). Is that your issue? Or are you not turning on at all in auto? Possibly the defer timer? Time to summon the apex pros! 😆
