  1. Been there! Stinky shoulder length gloves for me these days!
  2. Sorry I drank all mine (was that joke in poor taste?) ðŸĪŠðŸ˜
  3. 5 mins later ðŸĪ” I've been trying to catch this on camera for a while now! And you know you love the soundtrack!
  4. Your set up looks amazing! I'm a huge fan of those tank dimensions!
  5. Shhh, I'd like to be the only entry! 🙃
  6. You'll have to hit some geocaches to find the exact location!
  7. Geocaching takes us to the most unexpected places! Yesterday we discovered a tide pool (in an area not known for tide pools) full of sand dollars. It was really cool to see.
  8. Looks like a nice set up but the price is a bit high imo. This isn't retail
  9. I've never heard of that place and I was up that way 2 weeks ago. Sigh, I'll check it out next time. I believe the seaside aquarium has a similar setup plumbed to the ocean. From what I've heard the main difference is that you need a chiller and you need glass (or better yet acrylic) that won't sweat when it's cold
  10. Back when reef frontiers was a thing a couple of guys did this. I got to go see them and it was incredible. I have every intention of setting one up someday. The colors on those nems were amazing and their fuges were packed with mussels for filtration. Those guys were in Puyallup, WA but you can't collect those creatures here so they would go to Oregon to collect. Are you thinking of starting one?
  11. Such an awesome post! I may have to quote this one from time to time. Hey not all life, this golf ball sized hermit rides our giant hermit almost everyday! Of course Tamatoa does try to grab him from time to time. But ya, this tank is less like a reef and more like the hunger games
  12. Yep I believe that. How big was it? Mine has an 8" shell currently. Ya they will constantly make sandstorms sifting sand and eat any and everything added (fish, corals, inverts). Ive got some damsels that live with him that are doing pretty good, although oddly enough they disappear on occasion (maybe they do the nemo thing and find a drain to the ocean?). Also some other hermits that he tries to kill but they usually suvive by hiding in their shells.
  13. Lol it would destroy your tank. They are killers of any and everything (at least the species I have is, I'm not sure which species John is selling). They need their own tanks.
  14. I assume I'm not getting any replies here because your all in such a frantic panic trying to order them before they're gone, that's good, hurry!!!
  15. Reefcleaners has them in stock! You guys need to order one (and a new tank just for it), they are awesome and I never see them for sale. I have a monster in my kitchen and just ordered a baby and a juvenile from John!
  16. I'm not sure how fast those cloves grow but I do know that they are very hard to get rid of and have over run quite a few peoples tanks...
  17. How big are the heads? They look like clove polyps to me
  18. Some xenia pulses and some just waves, let's see those pictures!
  19. I would also urge you to look at new lighting options (although since you built it yourself I understand being attached). Metal halides are great but incandescent and power compact aren't really used anymore and there are some good cheap led options out there (or you could diy some)
