  1. I have the large cpr fuge on my bowfront crab tank. I really like the thing. I just packed mine with live rock and put my skimmer and heaters back there
  2. Looking good! It's great to hear some good news. As for the worms I have a bunch of them too. They could be a sign of overfeeding but they're harmless and I think they're kind of neat
  3. Interesting. How long does it take for them to die? No babies here as I never keep mollies for more than a month (eventually they make friends with my wartskin angler). But I have been considering one for my reef
  4. It sounds like you guys are all doing very slow acclimations for your mollies? Hm, I have always just dropped them into my tank (after a 10 min float to adjust the temp) and had pretty good success rates, about 8/10
  5. Now that things are looking up how about another icp test? Oh and blue z mentioned the reef moonshiners program, it is very interesting and I have stongly considered it but I wouldn't recommend just buying all of their supplements as from what I've read a few of them may be useless
  6. The connection on the right is a check valve and where I plug in the airline. The second bottle I mentioned is just to make a stand for when you unplug the airline and set the bottle to the side for a bit to let the shells float to the top
  7. Sure. This is just from a quick search, be sure to shop around to find better prices. Oh and you need 2 of the soda bottles and a bubbler
  8. Can you post a picture of the worms? Imo bristleworms are harmless. Fireworms on the other hand are no bueno. Also fwiw I have never seen my red coris wrasse eat bristleworms before (but that doesn't mean he doesn't eat them) but I have watched him ruthlessly tear apart and eat some mini brittle starfish
  9. Fwiw this is my hatchery. It works great and was a little cheaper then the one your looking at..
  10. Nice find! I love a good sump monster. My 3 chamber sump has a baby giant hermit crab, wartskin angler, and a little green brittle starfish
  11. Looking good! Did you end up selling the other tank? Or will it become a frag tank? Do I spot some live rock in there with the dry rock?
  12. I had one for a few years, it was a model citizen (until it got eaten by my puffer). But I have heard rare cases of them being aggressive
  13. Ya I agree with blue z. That white part is so fragile it just falls apart
  14. Beautiful tank and great photography skills! Do you have a plan for the bubble tip nem once it grows 20x that size?
  15. 5' 112g. On the opposite side I'm still running an old koralia (800 or 1000gph, can't remember). I did just order a sow-15 to replace the 20 but I'm nervous that's gonna be too big too?!
  16. Well I ended up grabbing a jebao sow-20. That's the size jebao recommends for my size tank. The pump is silent and looks good but what heck, this thing is huge. The lowest setting seems ok but anything else seems like it'll blow the water out of the tank! And no way can I use the random flow setting (which is what I wanted to use) Anyways it's a very nice pump but I need a smaller one!
  17. Oddly about an hour later it spit them out
  18. Bonney Lake huh? Tropical fish world is a great start for fish and dry goods. Not so much for corals or inverts. Aquarium paradise in lakewood is also ok for fish. There are also some great coral stores in renton and Bellevue. Welcome to the club, I'm about 20 minutes from you over here in east Tacoma
  19. I guess not! Bye bye palys. This is a very slow murder, I wonder if I should stop it? Could the palys be toxic and hurt the plate?
  20. Some inverts need quarantined, others just need to be rinsed. Humblefish wrote a guide on the subject https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/coral-invert-quarantine-time-frames.334584/
  21. OK thanks, I really appreciate the info. If I can get about 5 years out of a new mp40 before having to replace parts I think I would be happy with that. Plus having these spare parts is a bonus.
  22. Out of curiosity do you have certain upgraded parts because the originals failed? Do they fail often? Are the replacement parts affordable? I ask because I've always been happy with my koralias but am wanting to upgrade so I don't have to deal with broken parts regularly
  23. Thanks, I'm trying wiggling it all around and nothing. This thing looks pretty old so who knows. If I have to I might buy a new higher end pump. Would it make sense to stick with an mp40 and keep this one for spare parts (are they interchangeable)? If not I'll probably go with a cheaper gyre or something
