Now technically you could leave the inside alone after 2000 grit. Because of the water, you won’t get additional clarity from doing novas. I would only do novus to the outside

After 2000 grit you use the novice 3/2/1

Deep scratches? If so I would start 400 for those. Then 800 1000 2000

You have to wet sand if there are scratches. Polish alone won’t take scratches out

You’re not using the generator to power your home gas furnace? During the outage I set my furnace to 72 to get some heat in the house. The tank heaters don’t have to do that much work after that. It’s a lot easier for the generator to power a 300 watt furnace blower than several 200-300 watt tank heaters

You’re right. No one should do what I do without knowing what to do and how to do it safely. 

I was without power for almost 24 hours. Used my champion 8750 watt inverter generator back fed into the dryer plug (safely). Ran my two tanks without light. The home furnace. The fridge. All the lights in the house. Ended up using about 10 gallon of gas in 24 hours.
