It sounds like a neat plan, but i would definatelt look at a 40g breeder as a tank. With a false wall and all that, you are going to have very little room to put anything in the tank.

Next year we are going to water with gatorade.  It has electrolytes, and that is what plants crave.

OK, bumping this thing to the top, I realize I am battling the Dunning-Kruger affect on this one.. and people may not realize they need this light!! 

What we have here is the absolute pinnacle of frag or coral qt light.  It is an agro (which is latin for hells-yeah)-brite.   So its basically a hella bright light.  Comes with two Ati blue bulbs with 6 months of burn time on them. 

For a limited time...because i can't do this all day.. i will include the hanging brackets shown in the picture.

I know, you want this thing now, and who wouldn't?  So the price.. lets say $30.

Not cheap but trust me, it will be waaaay more than enough.  And as a bonus, you can mount in in a window like an AC and  have the hot air exhaust outside.

The fun part is now I am getting the "well I just have to take you at your word that it didn't arrive".   WHY would I keep texting over three weeks asking if you shipped it or not if it arrived? He offered to ship it without payment which I thought was cool, but jeez,  just say what you mean and mean what you say.  Anywho, it is what it is.

Been waiting over a month for him to ship me the gyre.  Oh yeah its going out.... oh yeah, mailed it this morning... oh it never arrived, I will check with my wife to see if she mailed it.  "Hey ok, I get it but I really need this unit for my QT setup"....

The tank has water, and had velvet in it.  Yipee!!    Some fish are back in it, 5 days, no sign of velvet.  We may actually be on the way!

Scott, I have this absolutely giant piece of pukani.. still deciding if I want it in my scape but all things considered, I should just give it to you.  It is a COOL piece

Bleach is a good idea but I have found that muriatic acid is faster and more efficient.  Acid bath and then rinse. 

The real plus is that it dissolves the outer skin of the rock and gets ALL the grime off.  You add the acid to the water and the foam that rises up... yuck!  

Just don't get it on your skin.

Someone scored an AWESOME CHILLER!!!  

PLEASE NOTE THIS!!!   If for some reason the pump circulating water through the chiller fails and the chiller is still running it is soo efficient that it WILL freeze all the water in the heat exchanger, it will expand and break the exchanger housing.   Ask me how I know...   So just be sure to NEVER turn the water off while running the chiller.  Or even run the water for a couple minutes after you shut off the chiller. 

oooh... so tempted to buy it back.  I have not turned on the halides on new tank yet.
