and it isn't rated for continual water exposure. I mean, have at it and all. I was just curious what type of glue it was and that popped up.

iodine dip is likely 100% better than nothing.

Looks cool. Arcylic and silicone don't play well together but ibhave heard that there is some new type of silicone for bonding plastic?

Kind of makes me wish i hadn't dropped your new tank and broke it.

I used my sawzall and a diamond tile blade once. This is good if you want to make a bunch of frags from a colony all at once because as your cutting it will catch on something throw the colony across the room and breaking it into a bunch of little pieces.

Yes, the honda is simply the best small generator you can buy. Period.
My sat for two years and then i had to dissasemble the carb and clean it to get it to start becuase of deposits.

I have a honda 2200. It is quiet, starts every single time and got my 300 through a couple different power outages. Now that I live in the mountains i have a propane standby with automatic transfer switch. It runs EVERYTHING on my system and both our refridgerators.
My 3 cents. If you have more than 2-3k in your tank its foolish not to have a generator. Battery back ups are good but in the city, if your power goes out its usually for longer than a battery back up will last.
Honda is a great generator, harbor freight sells honda knock offs that get decent reviews.
Two things of note.. never ever never run anything but clear gas (non-ethanol gas) in your generator. If you run it and let it sit for a year the ethanol will react and cause all of this nasty deposits that will clog the carburetor. So next time you need it, it wont start.
2nd thing, but a can of starter fluid and put it on the shelf next to your gen. That way you can be sure you get it running when you need it to.

Funny you should say that. ALL my instructions start with "take your shirt off".
But now I think I will save time and just say " I dunno, google it"

.5 nitrates! Dayum dude.
Do you also juggle knives in your spare time?
Well at least you are learning about THE most repeated lie in the aquarium hobby. "You can get rid of alage by lowering nutrients"
Alage are like lawn weeds, they are VERY effecient at using resources. Ever see green dandelions in a brown lawn.. that is essentially GHA in your aquarium.
Clean up crew is what you need!

The best thing you can do right now is just ignore the PH until you get other things dialed.
Your ph is just fine at those levels.

Make sure you rinse the vials well before you out them away. I have had that cause issues with my wilwaukie.
.09 is fine. In general, the conventional wisdom is anything under 0.1 is good. In my experience, worse things happen at 0.00 than 0.15...
Plus if you also have reasonably high nitrate then you are a good candidate for carbon dosing to slowly lower both.

Cant tell in picture. Some look like lymph.to me. Does it look like a tiny piece of cauliflower? Like a knotty white lump?
What's going on with Tropic Marin?

I think that on the long list of things for a successful tank, what type of salt is really low on the list. Like near the bottom
