    wow... very interesting!!

Under duress!!! LOL Thanks though, you reminded me I need to start a thread about how much I hate cuttlefish. Do you realize how much better off I would be financially if you just sold boring corals like most stores?? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Prospective new tank build

I saw a pretty big jump in growth when using this schedule. I run in like 12 or 14 hours each day. I do think an ebay led setup for VEG would be better just haven't got around to it. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Prospective new tank build

sounds exciting! my 2 cents.. I hear a lot of complaints about the cor pumps. Seems like a waste of money as all you need a return pump to do is return water at one rate... and NOT break. GHL makes a great doser. I have had zero problems with my bubble magus doser. Again, the DOS pumps are stupid expensive.. and have their shortcomings.. like air bubbles and noise. I am using an AI prime light in my fuge.. grows just fine but i am looking to buy an led grow light from e bay to try instead. the kessils..well, they are just waaay to expensive for what they are. Just my opinion, they certainly work though. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  11. why not use a 4 bulb t5 fixture? nice even light and it's either on or off, no tech needed. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    T5 lighting.

be aware that the actinic lights do not put out much light. if you only have 4 bulbs u may want to skip that one. side note... I just got 2 six foot reefbrite xho's.... OMG amazing!!! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    any fishermen here

steelhead are very very very difficult to catch. If you really want to catch steelhead I would invest in a very high quality rod that is both sensitive and strong. They have the SOFTEST bite..the just nibble the shrimp off my hook.

    Algae everywhere

good tips.. especially the getting air bubbles in the water. I remember a popular thread in r2r about micro bubbles.. people using an airstone near the inlet of their return pump. the little bubbles would attach to the cyano and lift it to be skimmed away. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Freshwater peeps?

no problem. it is REALLY busy on the weekends. you actually put your name in at the desk and they will come find you when someone is available. Ask if Kyle is there. Not sure if he still works there but he is very very very knowledgable. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Freshwater peeps?

there are. the best advice I can give is go to the wet spot on sandy and grill them. they have the best selection of freshwater plants in pdx by far. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Freshwater peeps?

it has plants... plastic ones. it had plants at one time and the cichlids used to get mad for not feeding them 28 times a day and they would rip them out. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
