  3. Someone asked about the 70 gallon tank, so here are the pictures. It’s 15”x20”x48”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. A busy week led to a late reply, but I responded to the PM, Aquanius. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The sand and rocks are no longer for sale. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. 180 gallon tank is sold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It’s got corner overflows and is drilled. The qualifier on that tank is that there’s a chip in the glass on a corner by the overflow. I have no idea if that’s a problem or not. I’ll include a picture of it from before I shut it down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I have to let all of my aquarium stuff go. I must admit that I didn’t think it would be as expensive as everyone warned, but I can’t afford to stay in the hobby. I emptied everything a few months ago, but I hung on to the equipment until I finally decided it’s time to let it go. Here’s what I have for sale in Albany: Reefstar programmable lights: $250 for the pair (Note: one of the lights only has half of the whites working, but it’s quite bright as it is.) Reefkeeper Lite: $90 Maxspect Gyre 250: $275 BRS reactor and Cobalt power head with some Carbon and a half container of GFO: $90 Jebao Dosing Pump and supplies: $60 Hydor Koralia Wave Controller: $50 Hydor Koralia Power Heads 1150 : $30 each Two bags of Instant Ocean Salt: $20 Miscellaneous Heaters: $10 each Rock: Make Offer 15 gallons of Crushed Coral: Make offer I also have two tanks (180 gallon glass and a ~70 gallon acrylic) that I didn’t put a price on, but if anyone is interested I could part with them as well. Let me know if you’re interested in anything and I’ll get back to you as fast as I can. On a side note, thanks to everyone for all the good info I gleaned from here over the last couple of years. It was much appreciated. GPH Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Perfect. Thanks for the quick response!
  10. Any suggestions for getting my equipment clean? I recently took down my system (painful to say,) and I'm holding on to things for at least a while to make sure I can cope with not having a tank. I want to clean everything thoroughly and remember hearing vinegar is a good choice. Is that true and how diluted should it be? Any other suggestions? Thanks for any help!
  11. Sad to say they are gone. I'm sorry it didn't work out to sell them on here, but trading them back to the LFS isn't so bad.
  12. Last call... They have to go today.
  13. Little update: I need to know by tomorrow morning if anyone would like to purchase any of these, as I'm taking them to the LFS tomorrow afternoon.
  14. Thanks, Emerald. I'm hoping to donate at least the large tank to the high school that I work at.
  15. I have to disappointingly admit that I am shutting down my system, and I need to get all of the livestock cleared out. Since I'm a teacher, it seemed like a natural choice to sell the livestock in this thread and give half of the money to this cool cause. Here are the details: I'm in the Albany/Corvallis area. I need to get everything gone by Monday or I'm going to need to take what's left to my LFS. I've never sold any fish or coral before, so I don't know the protocol for pickup, but I don't have any bags. I'm assuming people bring containers when they want the fish. I'll attach photos so you can see what's here. I don't claim to be an expert or even close to it, so I've done the best I can to describe what I have. It's a great hobby, but I didn't put the time into it that it deserves and money is tight right now so the electrical bill needs to come down. There are two tanks that I have set up in my garage because I intended for that to be my man cave. One was supposed to be the refugium (75 gallons) and the other the display (180 gallons). Here's what I have: TT -- Tomini Tang (medium) $25 FF -- Firefish $15 Clown -- Occelarus Clown (medium) $15 MC -- Maroon Clown Pair (medium) $40 (These are my favorites and have to stay together) WG -- Watchman Goby $15 HT -- Blue Hippo Tang (4-5") $50 FS -- 2 Fire Shrimp $30 Each CS -- Cleaner Shrimp $25 CB -- Coral Beauty Angelfish $30 TC -- Torch Coral $15 LC -- Leather Coral $25 BC -- Brain Coral $25 MSC -- Meteor Shower Cyphastrea Corals $20 each YT -- Yellow Tang FREE with purchase of any fish (This guy was basically a rescue from Petco about 10 months ago. My son and I saw him and felt bad for him. His fins have been like in the picture since we bought him, but are maybe starting to grow back. At any rate, he seems very healthy to me.) Nassarius Snails FREE with purchase Astrea Snails $4 with purchase of any fish Scarlet Reef Hermit Crabs FREE with purchase Like I said, I really have to clear this out by Monday, so anything that doesn't go by then will get taken to the LFS. I hope instead it goes to some of the people I've enjoyed reading posts from over the last couple of years. Please message me with any questions.
  16. I had a skimmer pump break recently. It's for a Reef Octopus skimmer, but I don't actually know the model. The pump for it broke. I found some pieces in the sump (small, pink plastic). At any rate, it doesn't work any more. The pump spins, but it won't spin properly without the broken piece. I need a cheap fix. Anybody have suggestions? I tried to find a replacement pump, but I don't honestly know enough about this stuff to know what I'm searching for. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. The pictures were for a local business that sells online. They were in a specimen box. It was a little deeper from front to back than would have been ideal. I chased them a lot with my focus. Then there was some photoshopping to the background to make it more consistent. It was a lot of fun, though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. These are not my fish, by the way. I was just the photographer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I thought some might like to see these, so here they are. I hope the pics can be seen... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I am apparently incapable of putting the frozen food back in the freezer consistently. I'm wondering if anybody has any tricks beyond having a decent memory for not wasting food. It's a good thing I have pellets as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Thought I'd throw a couple of pictures from the tank on this thread. No fancy fish or great corals, but the family likes them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Still a juvenile. 3.5 to 4" or so. I'll keep a close eye on it for a long stretch and see what changes. Thanks to all for the advice! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. For the sake of the fish, I hope it's not flukes. I'll have to do some research on treating that if it's the case. Either way, this is much less stressful since it's in a bare quarantine tank! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. It's swimming around normally and eating anything that goes in the tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Nope. Just PVC, a heater, a power head, and the plastic tube to the circulation pump. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
