  1. So I accidentally bought two of these last year and only need one, I didn't realize I had already added one to my shopping cart previously.. Anyway it's hand made by Marc Levenson of Melevsreef which is pretty cool! They works great for either an AFS Auto feeder for Apex or an Eheim Auto feeder, also heard it work for other brands as well but can't be positive, the only ones I know for certain is Eheim Auto feeder or AFS for Apex. If you use autofeeders but hate watching the majority of the food go down the overflow this thing works awesome! It looks pretty cool too. It keeps all the food from going directly down the overflow, you just use Velcro strips to hold the Auto feeder chimney in place and you can put Velcro on the auto feeder to keep it on place as well. Most people place it on their overflow, I'm using it for an acrylic tank so it's great I can put it anywhere. Will trade for corals mostly just looking for softies like mushrooms, white pulsing Xenia, weeping willow toadstool, Kenya tree or Colt coral etc. Let me know what you have. Not looking for SPS right now
  2. Open to trades too, different colors mushrooms, mostly looking for softies. Toadstools, Kenya tree, colt coral, etc. Mostly keeping softies in this tank now
  3. The mushroom rock is sold but I still have some others left
  4. If anyone is interested I have about a 5-6 inch rock covered in Green Mushrooms $40 located in Forest Grove. Also have a ton of Pulsing Xenia, Anthelia, Devil's Hand Frags and some green Toadstools Text 971-470-5742

  6. I have a 50 gallon acrylic with oak stand and canopy that will be available soon some time, it does have a 20 long sump but one of the baffles broke unfortunately when I was cleaning it... The tank does have some scratches (it is acrylic after all) but like most acrylic tanks the scratches not too noticable when full of water, I have a bunch of acrylic scratch remover stuff to go with it too though like mighty magnet buffing pads, Novus etc so the scratches could be buffed out and the tank would look like new. I will also have a 30" SB Reef LED light that I'm currently using with it, beautiful light will grow absolutely any coral, still has a year left under warranty I believe, also have an algae scrubber I'm using with it I may sell. I'm not sure yet exactly when it will be available though, I'm still looking for a smaller replacement for it and light. If you're interested and not in a big hurry let me know
  7. If you decide to find it a new home I'll buy, I love Toadstools. Just let me know
  8. Still have an extra one available if anyone needs it Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  9. Still looking, can do porch pickup and/or PayPal Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  10. Don't mean to hijack but if the poster isn't interested in the nem when it does split I am. Recently did a tank swap and the 50 in my bedroom could use some more nems Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  11. Beautiful tank! Curious what you're planning on doing with your 90? Is it already sold? Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  12. Yep, they do that when growing another head at times. I had a giant colony of pink hammers that would have the occasional bubble Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  13. I have a 10 gallon with a screen, was used for hermits crabs so has some hermit crab stuff in it, it's been sitting outside so it will need a good cleaning but the tank and screen are pretty much new, just dirty from sitting outside. You can have it if you're willing to pick it up in Forest Grove [emoji16] the screen is black and one of those tighter fitting screens. My husband has been bugging me to do something with it lately so you'd actually be doing me a favor lol. Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  14. Go with a sump and you will never go back! I started very young with freshwater tanks so was used to having hang on filters, heaters in the tank etc. My first saltwater tank was an old 37 gallon freshwater tank I decided to turn into saltwater, I too was scared of a sump, mostly because I had never had one and hadn't researched them. I'd recommend either going to someone's house that has one setup and have them show you how everything works, seeing it in person is easier to understand than reading about it IMO, or watching videos could help you understand as well. Now looking back it would have been amazing to have sumps in my freshwater tanks, I will never have another tank without a sump. Like someone else mentioned drill holes in your return to break the siphon in case of a power outage and it will stop water continuing to flow in the tank, also not filling the sump all the way and leaving enough space in the sump for the backflow from the overflow with a power outage, you do those things and you're good, putting a lid on your overflow can help too so no fish end up going for ride and potentially clogging the pipes. Doing a visual inspection once a week or so just to make sure everything is in working order is good practice, but don't be scared of a sump! Once you actually have one you will be thrilled with how much cleaner everything looks without hob filters, heaters hanging in the tank, and any HOB skimmer I used to use now seems pretty useless over a good in sump Skimmer Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  15. If you haven't checked out SB Reef lights I really like mine, I have a 32" SB Reef Pro with timer and I believe it ran me around ~$300, they have other sizes as well, basic (without timer or Wifi) Pro (with timer) Extreme (with WiFi and timer)10, 18", 22", 32" and they have retrofit kits as well. Plus they come with a two year warranty, they're affordable and the colors look amazing in my opinion. I'm already planning on getting another for my daughter's tank Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk

  18. Gee you can just have some of the water from my bedroom tank [emoji23] was battling 40-80 nitrates at times before I installed an algae scrubber, I really like fat fish so I feed a lot, now Target feeding several times a day. You would think I would have had terrible algae in that tank but I didn't. I wish I had the problem of low nitrates [emoji849] I follow Melevsreef and have heard of others with this "problem" using Brightwell Neo Nitro to dose nitrates with good success. Did all of you with undetectable nitrates start with dry rock??? Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  19. They're such cool creatures, my daughter and I were mesmerized by the ones at Paradise a few weeks ago. If I had more asterinas I'd happily give them to you but I've never had issues with them so I rarely find them in my tanks Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  20. I love autotopoff.com, a member here actually steered me towards them a few years ago and they're great, I think the last ATO I bought from them I paid around ~$60 for a double float switch with a bracket to mount on my sump, including a little pump. You can build your own, a single or double float switch with or without a bracket and a cheap little pump. The owner was very patient with me and my questions, I've ordered from them four times now and IMO they're probably the cheapest and they ship fast Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  21. I was curious about that as well, if the sides and back was going to be painted or not Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  22. Oh my gosh that looks amazing! You've created my dream tank lol. Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  23. [emoji23] great idea! I use my really long Target feeder/pipette to rescue snails daily. Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  24. I may be interested in another if you still have it this weekend, obviously don't expect you to hang on to it for me though! One of the others I got from you recently split, beautiful nems. I'll try you later in the week if nobody else has picked it up Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  25. Do you have Cerith snails? They look like Cerith snail eggs, I have some Dwarf Cerith snails breeding in one of my tanks and the eggs look like that. There's no predators in that tank so those little suckers are everywhere, constantly pulling out dozens from the filter socks. BTW, anyone want some snails lol Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
