  1. Pending sale to hernandezj35. If the deal does not go through I will update this post.
  2. The tank is: 34 Gallon Rimless Reef Ready Frag Aquarium With Plumbing Kit Diamond Polished Edges Distortion Free Glass Made Of Glass Rimless Top Black Frame Bottom Corner or Center Overflow Patented Flow Rate System Reef Ready Plumbing Kit 1" Drain and 3/4" Return Dimensions/Size: 36" x 18" x 12" Weight: 56.2 lbs Model AM13634 Brand: Aquarium Masters
  3. I forgot to include my location! I am in Canby, about 10 mins south of Wilsonville off I-5.
  4. I have broken down my tank and accessories. I have been in the hobby for about 8 years and am selling alot of items I have collected over that time, with most of the items being a little newer (around 2-3 years old). I have included pics of everything and will try and list most of the main things for sale but there are lots of little odds and ends included not listed as well. Asking $500 for everything and would like to sell in one big lot: Kessil AP700 and Kessil Mounting Arms (purchased new 03/2018, did not go above 10% intensity on this shallow tank, works like new as far as I can tell). 34 Gallon Reef Ready Shallow Aquarium Standard black stand that fits this tank perfectly. 20 gallon modded sump 2 X MP10 vortech pumps (not the quiet drives) and 2 X shallow shields from pico aquarium. The drives both work well and are not too noisy so far. A bubble magus skimmer which I purchased second hand but never used, I imagine it works fine Jebao return pump Various water heaters and cleaning supplies BRS 4 stage R/O unit, filters are about 6 months old Refrectometer I gave all of the items in use a quick cleaning but they are not spotless. You will have to do some extra cleaning if you want everything in like new condition. But everything works like new as far as I can tell. I broke down the tank 2 days ago and everything was working perfectly then. There are probably some extra items I am forgetting but nothing major. I am looking to sell it all at once. If my asking price is too high please let me know I have not been too heavily involved in the hobby for the past 12 months and not sure of what things are worth second hand these days. If I have price too low then come pick it up today lol! Message me if you are interested and I will do my best to reply promptly. I can help load these items in your vehicle. Thanks for looking, Ash.
  5. Wanting to buy pico shields for the MP10 (acrylic shield that goes around the wet side). Looking for 2 of these if you have them. Also looking for a Kessil A160we still under warranty (2 years from purchase date). I would also be interested in a gooseneck / mounting arm and controller if you have those too. Cheers, Ash
  6. Does anyone know of any dealers in the Portland area that can get tanks from either Aquarium Masters or Deep Blue? Looking to buy a 36x18x12 reef ready rimless tank. If anyone knows any other maker that local vendors carry for this dimension or a little taller (with the same footprint), or if someone has one used to sell, I would be interested as well. Thanks, Ash
  7. Yep the price is what is steering me away from Kessils. I think I will stick with my 4 bulb 24w T5 setup I currently run over my 20 long. Everything in the tank grows like crazy under that light. Only issue is the new bulb cost every year of $80 and no shimmer but I am always super happy with colors and growth.
  8. Anybody have any experience using the Kessil A80 light? I am planning to setup a 36"x18"x12" shallow lagoon tank with a 1 to 1.5 inch sandbed and was wondering if these would work well (planning on purchasing 2 of them). Not planning on SPS, just a bunch of my BTAs, torch LPS, acan, frogspawn and toadstools. I know the documentation for these lights states an 18"x18" spread at 6" above water level which would seem perfect coverage if I bought 2 for that size of tank. Given that it is shallow I am wondering if they would be fine (Kessil states the A80 at 100% is equivalent to the a A160WE at 45% despite the big difference in wattage due to much more efficient LEDs). Really like the simmer of the kessil and the tank will be in the living room and these lights have no fan so that would be another plus.
  9. You know those community gardens they have in some cities where you get a plot and you can grow your veggies and they supply the land and the water? I want to do the same thing but with corals and fish. Have a huge warehouse full of frag tanks and lighting where people can come in and grow out their corals / breed fish and get together/trade/donate/further the hobby etc. Guess I better buy a powerball ticket
  10. I dosed peroxide successfully to get rid of dinos. During the day dinos form those long brown chains and at night they break off and become free swimming. The peroxide only lasts a few seconds in the water so it is best to dose 1ml per 10 gallons at night with the 3% peroxide. Make sure it is fresh (costco sells a 2 pack for - $3). Night is best when they are free swimming and the peroxide is more likely to come into contact with them prior to being exhausted on other organics. You won't see much of an impact on the dinos the first week as the small dose exhausts very quickly. On days 7-8 you will notice a pretty fast decline and after 10 days they should be gone. I dosed half in the tank and half in the filtration system each time. Try not to mess with anything in the tank as stirring up any detritus is likely to cause another dino bloom and you will be back at square one. The peroxide will also cause your water to become crystal clear so you may have to turn down your lights. Peroxide had no effect on my livestock (softies, lps, sps and btas). Dinos seem to appear whenever there is an imbalance in a system and more often appear in very low nutrient systems. If you are getting the usual green algae on the glass every 2-3 days you will most likely not get a dino imbalance. After peroxide you won't see any algae at all for a few weeks but you will hopefully get your balance back after a month or so.
  11. I am pretty good at this game. My hi score is 335k. If you still have this machine and are ever interested in selling let me know!
  12. Love this store and the owner Erin is a great guy! Cannot wait for the Grand Opening May 7 at 11am.
  13. I had a dino outbreak after neglecting the tank for a while when I was working insane hours on a business project. I did a heavy cleaning of all rock, tank and equipment but unfortunately it came back quite quickly. I read up on people's success with dosing the tank with peroxide so I gave it a try as a last resort. I dosed 1 ml per 10 gallons of tank water 3% fresh peroxide once per day at night. Put half in the tank and half in the filter. After 8-9 days the dino was completely gone but I kept up dosing for 14 days. That was 3 months ago and it has not come back. Seems some have success this way but others do not. Costco sells 2x32oz bottles peroxide for $1.99. I would go the peroxide route again straight away if I ever had an outbreak in the future. Quick, cheap and easy.
