  1. I think 80 lbs would be enough. Although, you should try to arrange them in the tank before you fill it up. With the dimensions of the tank and overflows, you might notice the structure will change. Also, I usually turn everything on inside of the aquarium. Shouldn't be a problem.
  2. I didn't even know those existed. We should now be proclaim them as the solar eclipse coral.
  3. You did a good job with those photos! I find it so hard to get the fish to come to the glass to get a side shot. What did you do to coerce them?
  4. I can't thank everyone enough for this event. Everything was coordinated so well and everything went so smoothly. Thanks again. Keep on being awesome!
  5. Bill, your tank is a showstopper. You need to stop hiding this jewel!
  6. That thing looks as healthy as ever. What a nice snag.
  7. This was an amazing day. Thank you for all the hard work Kim and Sirena. The schedule was awesome, the party bus was the killer, and the burritos...don't get me started on the burritos. I loved them. I can't thank you enough.
  8. I was thinking along with lines of Yoko Ono. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdZ9weP5i68
  9. Before I looked at the post, I swore it was going to be a jellyfish. I was wrong.

  11. Wow. That's awesome. Sounds like you got a good wife.
  12. I think it also has to do a lot with the people involved with the community. Emerald makes a good point with Upscales, that when there are more stores, you see a larger community because it gets noticed more. If there isn't a lot of stores in your area, the reefing community has to compensate. If there isn't either, I have a feeling you'd likely see a decline. Anyway, I am sorry to hear that there have been a lot of stores closing down in the Seattle area. I know that it can be hard to keep a business going, especially type that we are in. If you ever feel like you would like to have someone to talk with...PNWMAS is here for you. Also, Oregon has some pretty amazing stores.
  13. Not recent, although we are slowly growing and would like to expand the reach of our members. One day, we hope to start moving meetings farther north or hold events across the Pacific Northwest. Giving members like yourself the opportunity to attend similar events.
  14. Names are hard. I am going to start getting into writing them down.
  15. Oh. Ha! I locked it because I was trying to figure out the image links. It's still a little finicky....and I forgot to unlock it. xD
  16. Was digging through some old posts and saw that we needed to do this. I fondly remember a lot of these photos, so please correct me if I am wrong. Either way, they deserve some recognition. They all are simply awesome! Will close April 11th at 12 am.

  18. It's funny you say that because I actually removed four photos because they some type feet or leg action in them. If you're interested, here was my favorite leg shot. Right after I finished setting everything up. You can even see the kill switch in the front of the aquarium in case something bad happened.
