  5. The last thing I did today was finish adding water (ro/di is sooo slow) and install the lights. So excited to add fish and corals eventually. Thinking of putting a yellow tang and some kind of pest control, ideas?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Now it's time to add water! I used a hose to pump about 60 gallons of water out of my dads 180 to start it off with "mature" water. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Next, I placed it in the fish room and started gathering everything for the plumbing. The drains are 1.5 inch PVC Next, the return line was plumbed with 1 inch flexible PVC and cut down to 3/4 inch at the T. The return flow to both sides of the tank and have screw in elbows so that I can move the direction of flow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. After taking down my display I decided to set up a frag tank! So here is my thread to show you guys what I'm up to and for myself to track growth. This tank was built on a budget as most of you can tell but it gets the job done and I'm happy with it so far The tank is a 75 gallon with a 40 gallon sump. Now also have a 40 breeder tank attached. The tank is 48x30x12H sump is 55 gallons Equipment 2- Ocean Revive T247 LEDs(one on each tank) 1- Radion xr15 gen 4 over half of the frag tank SWC 160 Cone Protein Skimmer Rio 1100 return pump (need to upgrade soon) RW-8 for flow Multiple power heads in sump to keep the water moving around the live rock ATO is gravity feed from a 5 gallon bucket that is connected directly to my RO/DI unit Apex runs pretty much everything. The stand was build with and open design for easy access. Then it got a paint job Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I'm interested once you get all the details he just listed off haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Im looking to get a sump for my tank, I'm open to all sizes and dimension since I am still in the construction phase. The tank is a 75 gallon grow out tank (48x30x12) so larger sumps preferred. Let me know what you've got! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. You will definitely be seeing me later! [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. I am also open to trades for just about anything reef related My dad and I plan to set up a frag tank in the near future so I'm on the hunt for supplies!
  16. I recently had to tear down my 55 gallon tank at school due to some new rules about fish tank size. I have had the tank up and running for about a year and it works flawlessly. For sale is the tank with corner overflow, wood stand and matching wood canopy. $100 obo For $150 obo, you can get the sump/skimmer combo I used along with the metal halide light setup and ballast (old school screw in type) I'll get pictures up later for lights. Cons: the price is $100 for the tank because it is missing the center brace on top (see pictures) but in my year of running the tank it never caused me any problems, the return line needs a new bulk head (3/4 inch and about $10 on Amazon). Other than that, it's a used tank, nothin new and fancy but she gets the job done and looks nice all put together. If you have any questions just shoot me a PM. I'm located in the Salem area. WTB- Tank

I started a second thread because is couldn't seem to find my pervious one but of course I was able to find it right after I put this one up haha. The reason I need a grow out tank is a rather depressing reason actually, my land lord in corvallis is forcing me to take my tank down sometime this month. So here I am, wanting to continue the hobby of course so I decided to try and connect a grow out tank into my dads 180 display (or a stand alone system) so I could still keep coral and watch them grow to either trade with all of you guys or sell! I do not have any exact dimensions that I am looking for, I have a fairly large area to work with (the garage) so I'm open to all sizes. I was thinking of using a shallow tank for better light penetration/growth. For example I was thinking of using a 2'x 4' x 6" deep hydroponic flood table but I'm still trying to figure out if I want to go that route or find an actual tank to use. What do you have?

Does anybody have a frag tank they would like to sell, or a hydroponics flood table? I am looking to set up a grow out tank and wanted to see if anyone on here might have one for sale before I was forced to buy a brand new one.
  22. I may have a yellow tang for you, I'll keep you updated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I am looking to set up a frat tank around the end of June and I'm starting to plan it all out. Does anyone on here have a frag tank they wouldn't mind selling? The other option I am considering is using a hydroponics flood table, 2'x4'. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Will you be around this next week on say Tuesday? I will not be able to make it up there until then. Also could you send me a picture of your Naso? 971-209-9653 thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
