  1. Anthelia - any value/free???

My limited experience is that anthelia, like xenia, has little to no value on the forum. Generally speaking, people on the forum are "hobbyists" that are more into their tanks than the average person who just owns a tank. There are not very many hobbyists that want to take that on. But, if it's on a nice size rock (2 to 3 inches), and is in good shape, you might get some action on Craigslist, OfferUp, or even FB. A lot of people like the movement and how easy it is to grow. That said, I always go overboard warning people that if they don't keep it on a separate rock and get right on top of it if (when) it jumps to their main rock work, they're going to have a xenia dominant tank in no time. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  2. Free zoas

I have about 10 frags of zoas that I want to clear from my rack. I was about to toss them, but thought someone out there might want them. They are nothing to write home about, but if you're a beginner and/or are starting a new tank and want a "test frag," you're welcome to 'em. Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  3. Come check us out / 15% off all fish

Paradise Corals is worth the trip, even without a sale. Bret and Naomi have a lot of unique items and are super friendly. The shop is located is in downtown Hillsboro which has a really quaint feel. It's fun to walk around and shop or have lunch. Paradise also has reef-related artsy items that are fun, too.
  4. Free zoas

If I can have a "test colony" of your orange envy... Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  5. January Picture of the Month - Clams

Fun! I'll get us started. I took this at MACNA a couple of years back. I think it was at the Pacific East Aquaculture booth. How about dem clams?!?
  6. Free zoas

That's great, Nate. I'll PM you and we can work out the details. Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  7. Free zoas

Actually, I think there are some green palys on one or two of the plugs. It's a package deal so yes, they're free! Thanks, Jeremy. I have to admit I didn't work very hard to take a good picture, and I kind of aggravated the polyps just before I snapped the picture. They aren't as sad as they look. If there's no interest, I'll probably just get rid of them tomorrow.
  8. Looking for some Chaeto

I'm in southwest Portland, near Washington Square. If you want to come my way, you're welcome to it. Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  9. Poker anyone?

Super fun! Thanks for being such great hostesses (as usual).
  10. Poker anyone?

I can count cards with the best of 'em. In college they called me Rain Man. One time I got all the way to 52. Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  11. Poker anyone?

Heck yeah, I'm playing! And just so you know, I cheat. You've been fairly warned. Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  12. Poker anyone?

I stink at Poker, but I'm bringing stuff to make sidecars and then what we're going to do is play Cards Against Humanities. Bwahahaha! Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  13. xmas 5g AIO

I love the light on this! I had not heard of "Steve's LED" or a "3-up" so I googled it. Pretty cool low cost item. About $50 including the upgrade? Nice work!
  14. Why is the reef tank not depleting calcium?

Test your mixed RODI (after the salt is added) to see what the parameters are. If the calcium is high and you are doing regular water changes, that may be the culprit. I'm not sure that is likely, but it is something to rule out.
  15. Once upon a time, a girl dreamed of having her own saltwater tank. Then one day, a prince (okay, not a prince, just Jeff) set her up a 110 gallon. She filled the tank with fish, and coral, and love. But like any girl, she wanted more. She longed for an anemone tank. So she sold off her grandmother's jewelry and bought a 36 gallon bow front. As her addiction grew, she knew that there was only one thing that could quiet the beast...a FRAG tank (or two). This made her happy. But soon she started hearing her family and her friends used words like, "crazy" and "obsessed." And she began to worry. Until...she found this awesome forum with other "crazy" and "obsessed" addicts and she felt like she had finally come home.
  16. What do you do?

This is a fun thread! I love to see what others do in their day jobs. I was a trial lawyer for a number of years before being appointed as a judge for the State of Oregon in 2003. I only hear workers' compensation cases, so if you get a speeding ticket I can't help you. If you fall off a ladder at work, I'm your man.
  17. This was a fun walk down memory lane. I totally forgot about this thread. Thanks for "conjuring" it up! I still have some of the corals and the bangaii cardinal ("Fin," as in Gil&Fin) from the first pic. Good times!
  18. Happy Birthday MattV and DanielLu!!
