  1. I just updated the raffle prizes. We have a really nice line-up of prizes for this meeting!
  2. As Rick pointed out the 1st gen models of these tanks have a reputation for leaking. We have no idea what percentage ends up leaking, just that it does happen sometimes. (I own a 1st gen RSR750 and it has been fine for 4 yrs.) When the tanks leak it is because the stand fails and starts to bow in the middle. I would check the stand for bowing and make sure the tank is perfectly level on the stand. Also check the seams for any bubbles in the silicone.
  3. I should have some Green and some Red Aquacultured Gonis that I can bring to the 10/29 club meeting at All Things Aquariums. Send me a PM if you are interested.
  4. Updated thread with pictures of Oregon Tort, Jackolantern and favia frags! Save the date!
  5. I would be surprised if it hurt your anemones. People routinely use Cipro on anemones and this stuff is similar to Cipro.
  6. Funny you mention that, as I am going to bring SIX Oregon Tort frags to raffle off at this meeting. As I am also running ReeFi 2.0s, I think it is safe to say that Oregon torts do very well under Reefis!
  7. When: Sunday October 29 1:00 to 4:pm Where: All Things Aquariums 30299 SW Boones Ferry Rd Wilsonville, OR 97070 We will have pizza, drinks and Halloween candy! Our own Eatfrenchfries will give a presentation on his culturing of Purple Non-Sulfur bacteria and will give all those attending FREE samples of his Purple Non-Sulfur bacteria! We have an amazing line-up of prizes for the raffles: a ReeFi Uno 2.0, a Bubble Magus Filter Roller (medium), 6 Oregon Tort frags, Phyto and copepods, Jason Fox Jack-o-lantern Leptosersis frags, Pink Vampires, and war favia frags! Don't Miss Out!
  8. We're sorry about that. I can lend you my own par meter if you need one sooner. Send me a pm.
  9. Thanks for letting me know. I fixed that field on the form. Can you please try again? Sorry for the hassle. The person who set up the original Google form left the club so we have not been able to edit it, so that is why I am re-doing it. Thanks! Andy
  10. Thanks, Kim for running this event and to the rest of the board for stepping up. Many thanks to Jeff for hosting!
  11. In my experience, both vodka and NoPox dosing take down your nitrate rapidly and don't reduce phosphate very much. If you use either of these to reduce your nitrates, make sure that you also use something, like GFO or Lanthanum chloride, to bring your phosphate down as well. Low nitrate and high phosphate can lead to all sorts of problems.
  12. I think must be the 'Manilla Spy.' Cool! Where did you get it?
  13. I don't think many people have it. It was never really distributed while Jake was alive. Now ACI aquaculture has it, so it should start to show up at retailers within a year or so.
  14. Be careful, as Paletta had to fight a dino outbreak after using his high dose.
  15. Have you done a water change recently? I would try a large water change and then follow up with a ICP Mass Spec from Oceamo. If you are doing the cipro treatment, perhaps do this after the last Cipro dose.
  16. To give you a sense of what happens with space, take a look at my aquascape 3 yrs ago, and then today.
  17. I would probably choose B, since your rock is more spread out and you are growing sticks that will reach out and touch each other. Both options look great.
