  1. Thanks Jeff, it was one of those 'good days' in the tank so I captured a picture. Yes, he is a sargassum trigger, I really like him. He has been totally reef safe. Had a niger trigger that also did great reef wise, but he was a super bully. This guy is pretty relaxed.
  2. Picked up this carpet lobo a few weeks ago, really like it. It is a brighter pink than the pictures show, so tough to get good pics... For size reference here is a pic, it is in the lower left corner
  3. As promised [emoji106] Better than an iPhone pic at least
  4. I captured a crummy phone shot. Unfortunately I spooked him and he was leaving. However, before the camera came out this foxface was nestled in deep like a clown fish. Ever heard of that before?
  5. Absolutely agree! Cool fish really... It wasn't that long ago this could never have happened.
  6. Not quite mainstream yet, but they are showing up: The complete breakdown of this particular SMD Aquaristik LED light includes four 50w white 12.000k multichip LEDs, two 50W blue multichip LEDs with a peak emission at 460nm and two 90W RGB multichip LEDs which we are told is specifically made for SMD Aquaristik. 7. Just when you thought we have seen all the corals out there! http://reefbuilders.com/2015/01/29/persian-gulf-azoox-corals/
  8. Wish I did, wow those shots are amazing in the article, all of the rainbows. Good luck, bump...
  9. I would definitely donate, I have allot of frags that could go up.
  10. Ya, my dang card reader on PC went kaput! Need to bust out the laptop
  11. That is nuts, those BTAs are different creatures!
  12. Updating my pic from a better camera.. PIC HERE
  13. Hi All, Not sure if everyone was aware of this or not. Not sure if this has been posted already. Some bad news for a fellow reefer that many of us know. Brandon is a good guy, he loves his family, I truly hope he pulls through. You can read about what happened here: http://www.gofundme.com/HopeforBrandonK?fb_action_ids=925969574088768&fb_action_types=og.shares
  14. Sorry I missed your text JR, we were on vacation. Please hold a little aside for me, I want to get out and check out your tank and return your stuff you loaned me one of these days. Thanks!!
  15. Dang, that is too bad. Mine seems to eat everything, however I bought a pair and lost one for the same reason. There is a chance he is sick, because a healthy one should eat about anything especially frozen foods or live blackworms. Look for signs of disease and QT if necessary. QT can be as small as a 5 gallon bucket with airstone and heater in a pinch for a fish that small, with lots of water changes of course.
  16. More flow, manual removal with gravel vac. Be sure to pinch the line if your sand is fine or the detritus and the sand will all get siphoned out. I am done with sand personally, had a really rough time with phosphates until I siphoned most of the sand out. It is hard to keep on top of. There are many, many successful tanks that use sand, just not me anymore for now.
  17. That's a steal with the Charles scrapers included! Good luck with sale.
  18. Used the 'full version' button at bottom of page, then subscriptions link. All paid up!
  19. Getting this error also when clicking link in email Fatal error: Call to a member function indexScreen() on a non-object in /home/pnwmasin/public_html/admin/applications_addon/other/subscriptions/modules_public/subscriptions/paysubs.php on line 563
  20. There are several good options for reducing nitrates. One area to research is carbon dosing. Google that topic and settle in for a whole lot of info. Happy reefing????
  21. Those nano box led pucks are cool! Any optics available for them?
  22. If you have the water pressure, or a booster pump, this can help: http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-150-gpd-water-saver-upgrade-kit.html I have limited water here also (that is nuts, the is the PNW right?). This helped ease the burden by halving the waste. Double output was nice also. Other guys run DI only with more DI, with 0 waste. Its a good topic to google for sure. Mattv is a local guru who does it. Good luck!
  23. That works, for sure! Every wire uses that sucker... I was shooting for something like you see in an electrical panel, documenting all the outlets. Here is what I ended up with by pulling the data from the xml feed in excel. This is then taped to the cabinet. See attached pic
