  1. Love purple firefish, great choice! They are jumpers, so be sure to keep a lid on it. Tangs are tough in that sized tank. Banggai Cardinals are fun. Yellow Coris wrasse or six line is good for pests. Six lines can be bullies though. I like royal grammas too, they work well in that setup. You have allot of great options going forward.
  2. Very interesting, thanks! Simple spectrum to leverage for DIY designs. 80 LEDs including 16 UV LEDs with an emission peak of 405nm, and the remaining 64 diodes evenly spread across cool white Cree XTE and blue XPE. Also interesting they are only driving the leds at 1 watt.
  3. The aquamans look huge! Are they a large polyp like AOG sized?
  4. You know you are into reefing when... all your toilet tanks all have frag plugs in em!

  5. Nice looking tray, I need to make one. Dosers will fall in the sump if you perch them there. Ask me how I know?
  6. I am definitely interested in trading via shipping. At 15 bucks through USPS, it is cheaper than gas and takes little time. Nice pics, nice stuff!
  7. Another GREAT one, thanks! So cool, I love the ocean, I love DIY, what a fun project and results. Those fairy basslets were gorgeous.
  8. That's a bummer. Did you mention if you have a quarantine system in place? Those who follow strict qt have fewer problems for sure. You don't hear allot about qt for cleanup crews but some even do that.
  9. That is amazing, thank you so much for the update. Thank you everyone who participated!! This was definitely a fun way to pull together for a good cause, a PNWMAS highlight for sure.
  10. Found a bigger peristaltic pump on ebay 500 mls per minute

  11. 2-3 should do the trick. 3 might be nice to prevent shadowing on the sides, but two should have the punch for most stuff.
  12. Oh man, what a good one. Share the love!
  13. I think the trick is, the instructions say 'do not expose to coral or anemones'. That kind of freaked me out, I mean a pellet falls now and then. Very interesting stuff though!
  14. Found one more confirmed source! Stylaster has them too. One more guy to check with out of the 8 that picked them up from me directly. I did hear rumor that Jack The Reefer is nursing one along still. Jack, I still have your efflo frag, very cool piece we traded for. Long live Clarkatoa!! Too cool of a story to see them die out...
  15. Yes Robert, I am regretting not trading them with you sooner, another colony of safety. There is a good chance someone will set me up. They have been selling on ebay for 200+ per head this last year. I think I traded very reasonably with everyone, nowhere near this cost and not once for cash. Like many coral trades, that deal came along with the idea of backups if this happened. So hopefully the line will make it back to the old frag tank one of these days.
  16. Jase and possibly two other guys are the only ones I know that could have them anymore.
  17. I am in the same boat as BlueZ, love em. 4 over the 240, 1 over the frag tank, 1 over my son's tank. I did do some custom spectrum tweaking but that is strictly optional the default spectrums on many are decent. My son's tank has the built in spectrum and I like it also.
  18. I am so sad to be down to one dying head, not sure what happened. I haven't sold or traded one in many months, its still a mystery to me why. Tried many dips including bayer, revive, iodine, furan2, nothing could bring them back. They sit in a system with tons of healthy zoas. I am very glad Jase still has them going.
  19. Rampaging Urchin... in slow motion, to him its fast and there is always frag plug destruction!
