  1. I'm assuming you paid the fee through the paypal portal on the front page? The banner should appear for you.
  2. If you bag them with oxygen and keep them in Styrofoam you could last the meeting and ride home.
  3. Thread closed, it has run it's course. Please follow up with PM's if necessary.
  4. Definitely read through Randy Holmes-Farley two part dosing regiment. Google that. That article can provide just about the most complete information on the subject and how to do it.
  5. Considering the damage that breathing mold can cause, a dehumidifier is pretty cheap. My wife has a terrible reaction whenever there is black mold present.
  6. I've had the 50 pint Kenmore for four winters. Each winter I use it for about 3-4 months. This winter the little sensor for it being full keeps kicking on and off even though it's not full. It still works just as fine, but I feel like overall it switches on and off much more. It would probably only take bending the little metal sensor to make sure that it gets pushed back all the way when the bucket is inserted. I'm definitely satisfied with it's ability to function. It keeps an area of about 600 square feet totally dry without even going to it's driest setting.
  7. My apologies for the incorrect information, I was going off information gathered from sources outside myself.
  8. Here is the update on thread editing: Currently everyone can edit any post they make for a period of 10 minutes after the post is made. So if you make a typo, have a second thought, etc, etc, there is an option to fix it. We went with IPB recommendation of not extending that time. The current policy is consistent with other sites, whether members pay to be on that site or not (Reef2Reef, ReefCentral, Seahorse.org. MASNA, DGRIN, KELBYGroup, NAPP.) They all use the exact same setup we currently have. It has been reported that we have had repeated problems over the last couple of years with many, many fights, and posts having to be moderated or deleted. Since we have made this switch we have had 0. People can't lash out and then delete it the next day, so they stopped doing it. Seems to be working well. We have also had 0 cases where someone emails and asks if we can check how a classified thread was edited, because they swear the price changed after they agreed to it. 10 minutes is ample time to reread for any typos or whatnot. After that there is no real reason to be changing posts. This change so far has been a very positive one. The other thing changed in the programming is now the first 5 posts from any person have to be approved before the posts go live. After 5 posts, all are live. It's a little pain in the butt for new folks for 5 posts, but we have had 0 spam hit the site since we started that. In regards to the classified section, we will be rolling out a new system. It was asked for members to be able to open and close their own threads. That has been nothing but problems as well. A sale thread does not need to be "closed." If the OP wants to write all sold, and people post after, what is the harm? What if someone else has a question about it. Why does the thread need to close at all? Instead of closing classified threads, they just auto expire and delete after 30 days of no posts. It would save space (which we pay for) and it would solve the closing issues for the sale threads.
  9. Anyone getting one or upgrading their drivers? Thoughts?
  10. How deep is your return pump? If the water level is not high enough it can suck air. Sometimes you can't even tell the pump is doing it until you have a tank full of bubbles.
  11. All I'm wondering is how that fish is in your DT when you just acquired it this last weekend..... :nono: Looks great though!
  12. I can't remember off the top of my head, but there are several things. Increased PM limit, increased storage of uploaded photos, free raffle tickets at meetings, and other things like our meeting last month where all the paid members got their admission paid for by the club at the Portland Aquarium. Your contributions also help pay for the club to do things like we did in January when we flew in Scott Fellman from California to give an awesome presentation on nutrient export. Each month we try and host meetings and those meetings aren't typically at free venues so your membership dues make sure that we have legitimate places to meet. All that to say, I guess the biggest perk is knowing that you're supporting an organization that produces a huge amount of information. In one year you will definitely get 26 dollars worth of information and/or deals from the classified section. I just see it as a way to help support an organization that is promoting a hobby I'm so passionate about.
  13. Great to have you back here. We have some awesome gatherings getting put on the calender so keep an eye out for those. Hope to meet you soon.
  14. Haha, is that because of my grandiose and philosophical insight? [emoji12] [emoji12] I'm glad you picked this back up, I had it rolling before, but it died off.
  15. Herbie style overflow. That's what everyone is suggesting. Google that.
  16. Go Beavs! Me and my wife at the basketball training facility.
  17. Ecotech pumps are super cheap these days. (Super cheap relative to their usual price )
  18. http://www.pnwmas.org/topic/33439-solve-spring-oregon-beach-cleanup/
  19. Necessary post? You don't have to do anything. Most of your fellow fish raising and frag swapping hobbyists like to give to the community. My apologies if this doesn't work for you.
  20. Curse the hydno....here's mine "hanging out" with a brain coral. And by hanging out, I mean eating
  21. Liar.... [emoji12] [emoji12] [emoji4]
  22. I work in Gresham so I can get it north whenever.
  23. I have this: www.amazon.com/EnviroGro-FLT22-2-Tube-Fixture-Included/dp/B0031CA3OM I'd let it go for 40. Used about a year and then never replaced the bulbs. It's been unused for about a year, I think.
