  1. It's been a long time since I've been on the forums but here I am selling my 39 gal cube system. 39 Gal Cadlights cube all in one tank, Low iron glass. Comes with tank, stand, Reefstar S80 LED lighting, 300gph Return pump, MP-10 Quiet drive (Needs new power supply), Reefkeeper Lite controller, Avast ATO, Magfloat. I'm in Springfield, pick up only.
  2. The ones I'm looking for have the friction button that allows you to adjust the height by sliding the aircraft cable into the plate. The one in the pic originally came with an old current halide/t5 combo light.
  3. another try at the pic
  4. https://flic.kr/p/DxWvtm Looking for another hanger like the one in the pic. I want to hang a T247 over my anemone tank. Anybody got a source for these?
  5. Just wanted to stop in and say thank you to a couple of guys who helped me out this last weekend. First Tat2d, for spending his entire day Friday helping me move my 80 gal frag tank and the contents of my 90. The 90 will stay tore down till I can do some work on the stand. Needs a new floor. Second thank you goes to Scuba Steve. He came by Sunday after he got off work to help me move the new 30 cube. A couple of top shelf guys. I never would have made it with out them.
  6. I didn't know this. Thanks for sharing that little tidbit of information.
  7. I use Toms aqualifter. Doesn't siphon, it's ok if it runs dry, and they are less than 20 bucks so if they fail its a cheap fix. You can also buy just the diaphragm kits for about 6 bucks. Plus at under 20 bucks you can afford to keep spares.
  8. [language filter] Bill. Giving stuff away again.
  9. Never mind. I bought ten with lids on craigslist. Please close this thread.
  10. Looks like were both moving at the same time Brad. Good luck. BTW, the new tank looks sweet!
  11. With moving day fast approaching, I'm trying to finalize a plan. I've got two 55 gal food safe drums to move water, they will be turned into RODI storage and salt mixing when done, and I've got 120 lbs of new substrate. I will take down the frag tank first. Move it to the new house and use it as a temporary holding tank. Then move the other tanks. I've got a couple of coolers to move livestock in. I'll bag the fish and corals individually and pack them into the coolers for transport. I'm looking for some buckets with lids or maybe some totes to transport rock in. If anybody in the south valley has buckets or totes that I could borrow for a few day's I would appreciate it. Plus if anybody has time on Thursday or Friday and want to give me a hand that would be great. Thank you. Randy
  12. Wow. Read that wrong the first time. I saw nano vs jawfish. Cool pic.
  13. The AR fires a projectile only slightly larger than a .22 cal. It does travel faster and have more punch but compared to say a .308 or a 7mm mag, both popular hunting rifles, does not have the same stopping power. So in that respect the AR round is not really that powerful. The main thing people have against it is that it's a semi-automatic, and it looks mean. I liken the stigma of AR's to that of Pit bulls. In the hands of the wrong people they can be dangerous. If handled properly they can be your best friend. And I also must respect Lex, even though we disagree, I have to respect the backbone shown in the face of overwhelming opposition.
  14. You misunderstood me. I was pointing to the intent on the second amendment, but the literal word for word reading. The intent was to check government power and give the citizens an avenue to resist government oppression. Can you show me real proof that the AR-15 is used more in mass shootings than any other weapon? In fact, according to the latest FYI crime reporting statistics, fists are more likely to be used to kill you than a gun of any kind.
  15. Lex, you missed the point. What I wrote shows she spirit of the second amendment. Obviously we all can't, and shouldn't keep tanks, TOW missiles, Bazooka's, which by the way are yesterdays anti-tank technology, and other types of "military type" weapons. the AR-15 is NOT a military weapon. It is a semi-automatic cousin of the now antiquated M-16 assault rifle. As far as being a member of a well regulated militia, well militia groups in the US today are almost exclusively regarded by the government as right wing domestic terrorist groups. So why would anybody want to be a member of a group that is under constant surveillance by the government, and being suspected to be a terrorist? This would obviously violate other constitutional rights such as the ability to freely travel between states, at least by most forms of commercial transportation. When the american revolution was gathering troops to fight the British, they weren't gathering militia members for the most part, they were gathering ordinary citizens who saw the British government for the tyrants that they were and were willing to stand up for themselves and their neighbors freedom. The Supreme court, as it is today, has taken too much power for its self as well. The Supreme Court was never meant to legislate. Its sole purpose was to interpret the constitution, as you said, in the context of modern reality. More and more the Supreme Court has been legislating through litigation. Look, I'm not some gun toting loon. I'm not some anti-government conspiracy theorist. I'm simply an United States citizen who believes in the constitution and that the powers of the federal government have been allowed to extend far beyond what the constitution allows. The constitution clearly states that all powers not explicitly granted the federal government are reserved to the states. What happened in Roseburg was clearly a tragedy. The mere fact that people have such disregard for human life is appalling. I'm sure that had the shooter not been killed, he would have been sequestered off into some federal psych ward because some lawyer would have claimed that he was mentally incompetent. Maybe we need to go back to the days when murders were hung in the town square for all to see. Maybe then potential criminals would think twice about committing such horrific acts. Right now, so few real criminals are punished in a way that is a deterrent for others.
  16. You, apparently like many others, are missing the point of the 2nd amendment. The second amendment says nothing about personal protection or hunting. The 2nd amendment was, and is all about the ability of the people to deny a government the ability to rule through tyranny. When the founding fathers of this great nation wrote the constitution, the revolutionary war was recent history and fresh in their minds. If it weren't for the ability of the colonists to gather large numbers of citizens, armed with guns that were comparable to those carried by the british army, then we would very probably be living in a very different kind of culture. In fact the history of the 19th and 20th century would probably have been very different. History proves that power does in fact corrupt men. And absolute power corrupts absolutely. Without the people's ability to have checks and balances against the government, including but not exclusively the threat of rebellion in the extreme case of government oppression, then the risk of men in government becoming so power drunk that they lose the vision that they are here to serve the people, not the other way around. So before you try to ban assault weapons and high capacity magazines, think about how you would want to protect yourself against a government gone power crazy, Would you want to fight with a muzzleloader musket against an fully automatic M4, or would you rather have a fighting chance with a semiautomatic AR-15 with a 30 round magazine? Just something to think about.
  17. I wll be moving the 90 gal reef, the 39 gal anenome tank and the new 30 cube.

  19. This is where my fowlr used to sit. The puffers are gone, the Huma has moved on, and the eel is Off to be an inspiration to young minds. WE are moving next month and had to make a decision which tanks to keep and which to not move. It feels kind of empty sitting here looking at en empty space where life used to be. Thank you to everyone who has taken the fish and given them good homes.
  20. Kenny from Reefstar told me is good to about 200 gal. It was too big to fit in the sump of my last build.
  21. Yep. Still have it. Craigslist is full of flakes.
