  1. Ok cool won't worry too much. It doesn't look like any of the other coraline algae in my tank and is why it had me concerned. Thanks Rudy.
  2. Looking for some chaeto nearby. I tossed out my last clump thinking it was giving me problems. It seemed like it was dying (maybe not enough light). Gonna be doing a mod to my sump and would like to try again. Thanks
  3. Haha all good. I thought that's what you meant. Thanks
  4. You mean coraline algae? Maybe I'll gently move the very top layer around a bit more. I did it once but came right back.
  5. It doesn't rub off. That's what I was thinking as well but the fact that it looked just like what was on the zoas is what had me concerned.
  6. Also wanted to add fwiw. I feed two cubes hikari spirulina brine, and 1 cube hikari mysis daily. I occasionally add NLS pellets and 2 to 3 times per week ON algae. I soak and rinse the frozen food always.
  7. What could be causing areas of my sand bed to stain a greenish yellow color? I run carbon and rowaphos. I change the media every two weeks. Both media are in its own reactor. I also replace my socks with clean ones every seven days. I noticed it was also growing on the stems of my zoas causing me to lose a few. I have been able to save most of my zoas by dipping in lugols but would like to correct the problem. Has anyone else running gfo ran into something similar? Parameters: Dkh 8.4 Calcium 440 Magnesium 1600 Phosphate .04 Could it be gfo dust? I realize my mag is a bit high but I doubt that's what's causing it. Maybe I'm not replacing the gfo often enough and it starts leaching phosphates back into the display? My ro/di top off did reach .01 for a couple weeks before I was able to replace cartridges. Ideas, thoughts, concerns welcome. Thanks
  8. Just wanna say that the very next day after this post I decided that it was my responsibility to give Rudy an apology. I went to see him and we were able to talk and work things out. Thanks Rudy.
  9. You must have been feeling very optimistic. I wouldn't dare put an angel in my reef unless its genicanthus species. Congrats on catching. You live and learn
  10. For sure. All my fish have liked the regular nls pellets so I'll probably grab some of this to mix in along with the frozen.
  11. With the info given its worth a try but only during quarantine. Unless you're doing fish only.
  12. Well I guess I don't understand what it is that you're wanting to do. For me "in wall" means the tank sits flush with your wall. If your tank is flush with the wall regardless wether its a cube or a rectangle you can only view one pane. Unless you want to be able to go around to the other side and view it from the side. That means you'll see the other room from the "viewing" room as well. A rectangle would give you more viewing space. For in wall I think depth is most important to allow for a deep aquascape.
  13. If you're doing in wall, a cube might not be the best idea. You'll lose two sides of viewing. Maybe a long rectangle is best suited for your application. Good luck.
  14. Before this thread gets closed: Besides our miscommunication problem its a great facility and every member within the area should stop by.
  15. This is all I can do since I'm banned from GB for leaving a neutral comment. Good popcorn though..
  16. Would you be interested in parting out the apex? I have an older neptune that I could throw in to keep your tank going. Let me know. Thanks
  17. Some interest but no one has stopped to look.. Still available.
  18. All pending. Thanks for looking.
  19. Red and blue stripe acans. There's a bit of yellow but I can't get it with my phone. 7 heads on it just hard to see the other side. $30 Bam bams 20+. $20 Fire and ice zoas 25+. $30 1" sunset monti. $20 Pink zipper zoas. 20+ few babies $25
  20. Cool. I would only be interested in the newer one if it's all in good shape.
  21. I was going to go with one mp60 and sell my spare mp40. Decided I want to go with two mp40s instead. I thought I would ask here before committing on r2r. Let me know. Thanks
