  1. It is not uncommon for me to be late to the party it seems, I am not able to frequent the forum as much as I used too... Daam You Life!!!
  2. You gonna be at the meet on Cinco D Mayo? I would probably be down for this piece if you were. And I could be up for splitting it if someone still needs some slimer. Regardless, great deal and GLWS.
  3. Guess I missed this one last night, can I get in on the reserve list please? Obviously right behind the hopeful Clark.
  4. Sure, we can work something out if you come through Corvallis at some point. I would have to cut some things but it would not take long.
  5. You The Man Eli! Thanks for the talk, and thanks for the chance to be part of the contribution of data to the project.
  6. I will take a back seat to this one, or should I say "alternate".
  7. Yeah Buddy! Lexinverts and I are on our way now. See you all there soon.
  8. It's ALIVE!!!! What a headache though man, glad you have things ironed out now though, and thanks for the detailed updates...That thermal paste is kinda nasty stuff.
  9. Bumping this straight to the top! The meeting is tomorrow y'all and boy am I looking forward to it.
  10. I would be very interested in this aquarium, any other pics of the return and overflow inside the tank? I was hoping there was a weir cover for the overflows. And are those check valves in the back for the returns?
  11. I could probably track some down too if you want, maybe a different strain than Jeff's. A slow growing one that seems to stay put.
  12. Yes indeedy doo, this will certainly be a good meeting for sure. And I just have confirmation from our Vendors Relations officer that we will also be having a gift certificate form our long time sponsor Golden Basket in Tigard in the raffles. I have a few treasures from the Golden Basket, but I wouldn't mind grabbing a couple more.
  13. BeasilyBub!!! I thought you may have moved, still in Corvallis I see. Do you still have a tank up and running? For $20 I would love to snag this for a friend who is using a much less efficient hang on model for their tank... The old Seaclone 😞
  14. Another awesome update on the April meeting!!! In addition to the previously mentioned raffle items we have another list of killer prizes! An Aqua Illuminations Prime HD LED module! These come with an outstanding amount of customization features, good color rendition, and above all, proven track record of coral growth. Got a nano that needs upgraded or just want to put some OOmph into your existing lighting, this will do the trick for sure. Now whats this? An Ehiem Automatic Fish Feeder? YES! I could use another one of these for sure, as do most of you, if you use any type of dry food that is. From previous recommendations of a number of forum members, some friends, and now personal experience, I can now say that I can vouch for these Auto Feeders to people for their busy schedule needs. Multiple rotations, timings, and a large holding drum make this a very versatile and reliable feeder. Not interested in a light, pump, certificates, or a salinity probe!? Then what about a year long subscription to one of our spoonsors here by the name of CORAL Magazine!? I love this publication, and if I could get it for free, I would love it even more. Full of great articles, updated events in the reef world, and specialized topics such as new finds in the ocean or changes in the trades politics. Simply put, a Great read! And for those of you who are not in need of any new equipment, knowledge, or corals we have a case of the reputable Tropic Marin Reef Salt in the raffle line up as well. So now you know, there will be something for everybody at the upcoming PNWMAS meeting in Salem.... Be there, or be Square!
  15. Way to get back on the horse again, sounds like it is all coming together for you this time around. And if you ever want another frag or two just let me know and I will snap something off for you my friend. Always something that needs trimming. At some point I would love to come by and check the system out when I make a Portland excursion. And as far as the TDF, I sure hope it isn't a type of "Planet Acro". I got that Fuego from Jeff several years ago in his old shop during one of the deals he ran out of his SPS tank in the back right hand side of the store. My red planet always has a green skin and redish polyps to it but I have noticed under low light the TDF can get a green hue at the base too. Maybe I will frag a piece of each and throw them in the same system just for observation. I believe Cornbred has another variant he calls the Tormenta Del Fuego that I would love to see in person, without spending the massive cost of course.
  16. More Exciting News!!! The owner of Aquabiomics will be attending the meet at The Premium Aquarium to introduce us to his new innovative business of gathering data from reef bacteria populations and biology. Getting to talk to Eli will be a treat for those of you who find this interesting and have a question or two. With a background running studies in coral labs at the Oregon State University biology department, this is one of his specialties. This is just a snipit from their home page that I thought was worth sharing here. A bit of a description of the upcoming services that will be provided to the retailers and hobbyists. So make sure to have that calendar marked and the day off to be able to attend the April 28th meeting in Salem. I will probably come early and stay late for this one.
  17. This is Awesome Eli, I am looking forward to contributing as well as garnering sample data from you and your business. I will be "tuned in" for sure.
  18. A tasty little teaser of some of the raffle items being presented at this months meeting. The PNWMAS and TPA are bringing in yet another fine batch of winnings for the club. Need a little bit more flow in the aquarium, have some dead spots you need to get moving? I know we all do.... We will have one of the ever popular MP10 Quiet Drive circulation pumps in the mix of raffle prizes. A versatile and innovative pump that you can ramp up or down, change flow patterns, and even synch multiple units together. These guys produce a ton of movement from a small package. We will also have certificates to some of our Amazing sponsors as prizes! Pacific Island Aquatics, which is now located in Albany Oregon, has some of the nicest fish around. Snagging one of these will get you a step closer to acquiring that dream fish of yours. The digital salinity and temperature pen style tester, by Hanna instruments, is another cool reef gadget that some one will walk away with this coming April meet. I love how technology juts keeps getting smaller and more leisurely. I will be throwing a few tickets in on this one myself. And it has been confirmed that here will be more raffle prizes coming your way soon, just keep your eyes peeled for updates as they roll in.
  19. Good to have you aboard as a PNWMAS sponsor Eli, looking forward to seeing some informative data you collect. The more we know about our tanks the better, and this is an area to which many of us are "blind".
