  4. Laptop Batteries

shouldn't be much of a difference except price. Most likely your "depot" one wont live up to the hype with the whole better power and so on, but it will save you money. Just make sure it actually fits your laptop. Look at it this way, if it only costs you a third or even half of what your actual manufacturer wants then you can buy 2 or 3 replacements for the same cost as the one from Dell or whoever. I would Google the company and see what complaints there are out there. They might be known for fighting warranty work and always blaming user error which violates warranty or something. Just look into them BEFORE you purchase. One of the benefits of buying from say BMW for my car parts is I know they have a rep to uphold. Same with computer parts. for the most part anyway. You get the idea.
  5. Getting Rid Of Hair Algae

works well agreed Works well will expand on aptasia in a second.....
  6. Well I picked up a tank today....was oddly a very drawn out process with plenty speed bumps. But I had some great offers from members on here and found some others on CL which made this experience entertaining if nothing else. So, I am starting with the temporary housing tank. This tank is going to be purely for the hatching of the egg (s) and initial few months of learning feeding habits, likes and dislikes, as well as starting to understand the impacts on the water quality....they will be here until my tank is completed. Building should start fairly soon. We still have to decide if we are going with the 8x6x30in or the 6x4x30in....(scratch)..... Anyway, pic's to come soon but I wanted to get this thread started so I can document as much as possible to reflect on as well as get advice or pointers along the way. I have always appreciated the experience of those here and their insight so I am hoping this really helps. What I need now: Sand....lots of it...and very fine at that....thinking 150 to 200lbs could probably get away with 100lbs as I already have 60 or so in my tank that I will be moving over as "seed" sand....should be good seeding Salt Water....approximately 200 gallons or so.... Feel free to speak up if you have any leads or happen to have anything on this list or future lists. Wish me luck(scary)
  7. Five Guys or In-n-Out

In-n-Out hands down. 5 guys is alright....even great if you haven't had In-n-out
  8. WTB: Aiptasia

ok....I have a monster aptasia for you if you wish though....and it is on back wall so it is easy to remove.
  9. WTB: Aiptasia

I have a few rocks you can have. I don't know if they like Mojano's as well but if so I have a few of those too....and you will get some freebie Tyree Tri Color acro with it. I am just waiting for mojano's to kill it anyway.
  10. This was taken during our visit in Cali....Dexter who is 20 months found another toddler just older than 2....the rest continued throughout the day and made quite a few patents in the hospital happy Gets cute around 20 seconds or so. Mind you they never met before....this was pretty much their first encounter...they actually saw eachother just around the corner about a minute before this was taken.
  11. WTB 1" True union ball valve

Frank. I have one that is brand new. But I wont know if I need it till after I return from CA and Snowpunks gets over to my house. If I don't need it it's all yours.
  12. sump with refugium

still interested. Let me know if I should get a bucket of sand ready. This is not sand from my current running display....it is unused as far as I know.
  13. Aiptasia in the refugium

one of the main issues with leaving it alone is that there is potential for it to spread into display....and that is a whole new can of worms right there.
  14. Aiptasia in the refugium

You could just pick up some peppermint's to take care of the aptasia....they wont do any harm staying down there afterwards....shoot....maybe they will breed.
  15. Fuge setup help

I have heard that too. Let me know how your research goes.
  16. Fuge setup help

oh....I don't think you mean it that way. I have had a harli too and had to do exactly what you are saying so I understand. You are safe with me.....no worries.
  17. Fuge setup help

Better be careful saying that....others might think you enjoy it. What are you using to cut?
  18. Fuge setup help

Never thought about that. Good idea Miles.
  19. Fuge setup help

Fast but not recommended by many.....I was told when I first got into reefing that there are "myths" about setting up tanks and how long your cycle period has to be. Now I don't know if they are myth's or not, but my experiences has led me to believe that they are. Trust what you think is right. You do want to drop those nitrates though. And yes I waited....about a week on my initial set up. But when I moved from So Cal to here I did all new water....fresh spin up...and had tank set within 2 hours....never lost a coral or fish from the move.....well that isn't totally accurate....my Xenia didn't make it. But it was gone when I first opened the cooler to start adding my corals.
  20. Octopus Anyone?

yeah....I need smaller. World of Wet Pets has had them before....maybe I will hit them up.

    Accidentally double posted.
  23. 40 breeder w/ stand and hood FS or trade

I need a sump....do you have dimensions of what you have available? If not than I might be interested in this tank. But I would need the dimensions of this too. Thanks for your time.
