This tank is somewhat of a mystery. I'm looking around. I'm seeing 7-10 different tiny sets of tentacles coming from the rocks. The only thing I can figure is that my large 10" serpent Starfish has somehow reproduced by itself. Kinda cool! The tentacles are too small for pictures or video. I will try though. The fish and corals are in the youtube video. Listen to the sound part you will see me describing them. I'm not sure what kind of corals they are. Just the 1 rock goes with the fish. its about 10lbs maybe and the two corals. The female was 3 inches and the male 2 inches when I got them. The rest of the tank will go later. Whoever is interested in the fish can have first crack at the rest and make me an offer. 75 gallon acrylic. 5ft long 2 feet high 18 inches deep. between 50-70 lbs of rock all together. Oh and 1 sixline wrasse. 1 Serpent Starfish Some snails and a few crabs. And a few other critters that came in some of the live rock I bought.

100.00 for the pair the corals and the rock. They are acclimated to the corals which is not easy to do. They were in there for two months before they finally started using the corals. I cannot say for certain they are a breeding pair. But I floated them in plastic bags at the same time when I got them. They hit it off instantly. They seem to behave like a pair. The rock has a little cave inside with the hole you can see through. The lady is about 4 inches long, the male is 3 inches long. I paid 100.00 for the corals. Ive got 150.00 into all of it. Once I get rid of the fish then I can post the rest up.

I'm ready for these to go if anyone is interested.

The side of the tank they are on has less rocks. I should be able to come up with something like that. Thanks for advice. Anyone else has ideas please post here. I was thinking 100.00 for the pair. Theyve been together for six months. They seem to be at or close to maturity. The rock and corals alone are worth 100.00. They swim together and do the funny mating motions a lot. They are not bright red. But I read up on it. The red coloration will return quickly with brighter lighting. I would get rid of the rocks first. But if its possible for me too catch them without disturbing them to much. That has to be better! I have just left my net in the tank. Hanging there. So far they are not afraid of it. I think if they get used to it. It will make it easier to catch them.

I'm ready to sell my two Ocellaris clown fish. But I'm not sure if they are hard to catch. I don't want to scare them yet. So any advice here would be appreciated. Thanks! Dean

I bought a 400w Black and decker Powermate 400 from Walmart for 98.00 AC power inverter/Compressor/light/jumper box 15+lbs about the weight and size of a car battery. Its max power is 400watts. This should power my 300w extra heater. Also for 2.00 I got 15 1 gallon size ziplock freezer bags. I can fill these with hot water from my Water heater before the water gets cold. Also cover it with a sleeping bag. I guess during the day they would have to settle for regular outdoor light with the drapes open until the power returns. I guess one could also use battery backup for PCs as well. These are also AC powered. Most pcs now are at least 400w power supplies. This Ziplock bag idea would also work in reverse if the AC goes out one could fill them with cold water or even ice cubes. Im guessing you would have to watch the themometer constantly checking it every half hour or so. Has anyone had any experiences you want to share? Do you have more ideas on how to manage for a couple of days without power? What things would be more important? Etc.

My tank is exactly like that. Its a 75g. They make great reef tanks. Its as long as the 100g version just shorter. Nice price too. I paid 180.00 for mine. I gues it was too much. They reatail for 500+ new.

I have two Ocellaris Clownfish dieing for an anemone to host. The way they keep massaging the rock. I swear they are begging for something better. Maybe even two anemones. I dont have anything for trade but I do have some cash if you want to part with them let me know. TY! Dean

Thanks for the info! Stomatella is what it looks like. If I get a chance I will take a pic. Its hard to spot. It could be anywhere in the tank? What could have brought him to my tank? Maybe he was smaller on one of my live rocks when I bought it or something? Im reluctant to put to many algae eaters in at once. I dont want to put in more than my tank will support. I want the critters to have stuff to eat. As soon as I see the results I want I will stop adding. I will wait and see what the latest additions do.

I wished I had pictures! Before I tell you what Im talking about a little recent history. I have reached month four in my new 75G reef tank. I must say the last few days have given mr a whole new perspective on reefs. A week ago I started noticing very noticeble growth in my Corals. They are growing nicely. I have three different colors of green Algae. Lots of brown horse hair Algae. Some kind of yellow algae about the size of a quarter and lots of purple coraline algae. I noticed what looks like some kind of leather attached to a rock. I have several narrow white tubes that look like tiny feather dusters I think. This during the course of the last week or so. Tonight I went and got five more snails for more Algae control. I started with nine snail a month ago. This did not seem to be enough. I also have five hermits and a couple of tiny two clawed crabs Im not sure what they are called. After putting them in the tank. I noticed a brownish purple--what looked like a cool piece of leather growing on a rock. I thought cool one more goody. I looked later in a few minutes and it had moved. WOW!!! I looked at it as it slowly started moving more. The head looks like a snail. Maybe some kind of Sea slung or something. Wait a few minutes somethings wrong here too. Its too big. I did not buy it. It appears to me to look like a snail that left its shell. Is this normal or do I really have an univited guest? I wish I could post a picture! Can anyone shed light on my mystery resident? Its about 2cm deep and about as big around as a quarter and as long as 1 1/8 inch

Thanks! I can get that stuff you are talking about. I took my remaining corals to my fish store. They may recover. The problem was a bad HydroMeter. Coralife read wrong. Thats what the fish store told me. My ammonia was up only a little. Nothing that should have caused the fatality of half my corals. My Pulsing Xenia Died. I put it back in the tank. Im going to wait to see if it starts moving. Im not very hopful though. Everything was growing great until my water change. The hydrometer read high salt content. So I did a water change and did not include enough salt. Thats is likely the cause. It was the last thing I did in the tank. And everything before that read good. All of my tests except for a small amount of ammonia were normal. I will let you know how things go. So far my fish show no signs of anything bad. Theyre happy as ever!!

75 gallon 1 2spot goby two clown fish and 1 six line wrasse. 5 hermit crabs small and 10 snails. tank is two months old. About six corals I just changed 1/3 of the water. What else can I do? Did I add to many snails and crabs? If I take out the snails and the crabs will that help bring back my natural tank cycle?

My ammonia has risen 0.05. How can I get this down fast?

I have Coralife 50/50 lights. I have Pulsing zenia and some zoos and others growing good so far. Im just looking for any kind of bright colors that will grow in my light. Green, red, blue, purple, yellow Etc.
