  1. Sorry all school got really bad there for a week or so. I am still looking to sell the skimmer as well as the lights/tank set. I would really like to sell the lights/tank/sump before the skimmer as I need it out of the living room. Anyone interested let me know.
  2. I am looking for 200 for the skimmer plus any shipping involved. The lights/hood tank stand combo about 500. That would come with the entire setup for 500 minus the skimmer. I am a student at WSU in Pullman, Wa. Forgot to mention that in the first thread.
  3. Hello all, I unfortunately have to get out of the hobby for a few years. Being a student and having student loans come due makes hobbies pretty tight budget wise. My tank is currently taken down, what I have left is all hardware. SWC 160 Cone Skimmer - only used for about a month and a half IceCap Prewired 48" Retro Kit & Ballast comes with Giesmann bulbs 1 Actinic+, and 3 Aquablue+. The bulbs have about 2 months of 6 - 8 hour daily use on them. Currently the kit is wired into a tank hood. The tank is a 55g acrylic flat back hex. There is also a 15 gallon sump with pump underneath. The tank is plumbed with an overflow box in the back and return line. The overflow is pvc plumbed and the return is tubing. The tank/stand/hood are in decent shape. Tank will need a little tlc due to being emptied recently. I would like to sell the lights to someone with the tank as taking apart the retro is a pain, but I am willing to practically give away the tank for someone who wants the tank with the lights. Please someone let me know what you think. Negotiable on the prices just need to get it out of my entry way. Thanks, Will
  4. I believe its 7x9.5x23 It really is not very big at all. Fit great in my little sump.
  5. Ya I haven't been doing much posting at reef central. Mostly just pnwmas and one other near where I go to school. I have heard about some of the weird mod locks though. My bioload is really light right now as well. Hoping to get the water really cleaned out over the next month then maybe start adding some livestock as I get it all settled into the new skimmer.
  6. Here are the pictures from last night
  7. I just recently purchased a Salt Water Connection 160 Cone skimmer. I received it last night from UPS after waiting anxiously for it. It is all clean and running in my sump right now. I was just curious if anyone else has much experience with this skimmer. Tonight it seems to be starting to pull some snog, but again its just getting started. I took some pictures when I got home tonight, but can't find my card reader, so I will be getting them on tomorrow morning. The skimmer itself seems to be of superb construction. It was solid all the way around and I am really excited to see how it goes. Hope somebody else has some experience with this skimmer from our area. ~Will
  8. That sounds awesome. I just ordered two of the 1050's from MarineDepot. Couldn't wait. I am really excited to see how they do.
  9. Has anyone tried out the new Hydor Koralia Evolution pumps? Need to replace a few powerheads and just wondered if anyone had any experience with these powerheads.
  10. I ordered one about a week ago as well. I got it last night got it cleaned and installed. Its only been in there less than a day and its starting to pull some foam already. Great skimmer so far. I will post some pictures when I get home if I remember.
  11. Bump for the start of the school year. Need to sell the tank looking at taking offers.
  12. bump bump tank is still available and looking for a nice home
  13. Bump. The tank needs to go. If someone can commit to picking this up from me this weekend I will let the whole setup go for 550 dollars.
  14. So in early June I bought a 55 gallon flat back hex tank for my apartment under the apparent delusion that my apartment complex would allow it. Well to find out I spoke with the owner and the floor plan will not support the 700-800 pounds of tank w/ supplies that I am anticipating. So here it is. 55 gallon flat back hex tank (Custom Overflow box drilled in back w/1'1/2" inch pipe) (All tubing required to go from the overflow outflow to the micron bag in a sump) (Also drilled with a 3/4" return with locline included) 400gph Return pump (Gen-X) (All tubing to go from the return pump to both the protein skimmer and the return line) Full canopy (black) Matching Stand (black) RPS-1000 Protein Skimmer brand new ($250 paid) 48" Coralife 260 Watt PC System w/ four moonlights #40 Tahitian Moon Sand still in bag Various chemicals to support a reef tank Enough Salt to make 300 gallons of water I have over 1400 invested in all of this stuff. If I could get 800-900 for the whole setup I would love to as this would vastly help with tuition. Please pm me as I would like to sell the setup together, but if I have to part out I need to sell the tank first. Please pm me as I am willing to take legitimate offers for the setup. It is all currently located in Pullman, Wa but I would be willing to bring it back or partway if necessary. Thanks and I hope this can find a good home soon.
  15. Bump for another day. Need the light gone by friday. Please pm for quick sale.
