  1. I just wanted everyone to know that I have given my resignation as President of PNWMAS. I appreciate all of the new friends and contacts that I have made during this short time. I hope you will choose to stay in contact with me. Here is my personal email address for those of you who choose to remain in contact. kevinmcfish@q.com I know that there are a lot of you who have wonderful ideas to share with the group and I hope that you will continue to do so. Kris Waters will now be President of the club and will be appointing a new Vice President to assist her thru the remainder of the term. Kevin
  2. Thank you Curtis that sounds great, please keep me posted. You have my #. I would like to learn about this and meet more people in your area. Thanks Kevin
  3. Please keep me posted an I wil try and drive down, this should be cool. I don't know much about this, but I am very willing to watcha and learn. Can we get a time to do a DIY rock project in Eugene
  4. Thank you Dennis for your opinion on the middle, a central area. I believe that support should be there for southern people. This will not be easy, and many may view this as an attemp to single one or the other out, or to pull away from Statuesque. Thank you for your support with rallying all together in a central area. Kevin
  5. Thank you Steve, I will load them before I burn the DVD. I think that you have done a wonderful job with your tank. Oneday, I will dream of having a tank like that. I just will need to really get studying when the weather changes as I am going to have much more time here real soon. Thank you again Kevin
  6. I have never been to one, looking forward to meeting our gang and being able to put a face to all of this screen names. Hey, I hope to see you there ! ! ! Kevin
  7. Hey Sontdo, I would like to come to one in your area, this is for you guy's to setup in your area. I will come and visit each one as I can. You Guy's Rock, please get involved in this, it will only bring the club closer together and build a stronger networking bases. Thank you for your interest, please save me a seat, because I will be up their one time. Kevin
  8. WOW, that is a beautiful tank, I would like to borrow the right to use some of these photos for the DVD that I have put together to promote what our club is doing with their tanks. This is not a DVD that is for sale. If I could have your permission before it is to late I will include it and then burn the DVD for use at the Northwest Coral Farmers Market Event on Saturday. Thanks again and I hope to see you there, I still have your cooler to return to you. If not I would like to get it to you on my way home. Kevin
  9. Can we pull the plug on this thread ? I am getting the idea that more harm then good is coming of this. I will not have our sponsor's read this and not understand what ever the meaning of this is. I do not want to do it, but this thread will be closed it there is any futher post on this thread. I believe that a mod may do something about this, and it not I will attenpt to remove it myself. Thank you for your understanding, and please support our sponsor's, we would have very little without them. Kevin
  10. NEXT MEET and GREAT IS A DIY I would like to thank all of you that are working very hard to put a Meet and Greet together in your own areas. I felt like the club needed to find a way to rally people together and to get to know one another better. When I joined the club back in February, I came up with the idea of a Meet and Greet. I understand that monthly meeting were very hard for some, and even harder on sponsors to attend. A Meet and Greet is nothing more then people getting together to meet people that you would not otherwise meet for whatever reason. I have been able to meet people in Salem, Albany, Corvallis and Eugene that I never would have met without trying this. There are many places that a Meet and Greet can take place. And furthermore, you can even do a DIY project at one at someone’s home or a park. It can even be as simple as meeting at a coffee bar or restaurant, even families with kids can meet if you can find a place that has a kid’s area. Have fun with this and be sure to post photos of your Meet and Greet in your area. Thank you again for your support in this. Kevin

  12. I would like to look into parks for next year as well. It is the understanding of many that a central location is preferred, and this is exactly what I am willing to work very hard for this term. I will not be President next year, therefore, I would like to plan to bring the club to a common understanding that participation depends on a few factors, one being location, location, location. This is the promise that I have made, and I intend to fulfill for this my term in office as club President. We could easily have 100-150 people or more attend any function that we offer like our BBQ, or special guest speaking event, if we would just decide to do central location. We are missing the opportunity to meet face –to-face with great people that we have never met, or have not seen in months. Plus, this would give the club the opportunity to promote our events and bring new people into the club, or new people into the hobby. We will do this as a club this term; and we will promote PNWMAS as a club that is reaching out to involve everyone in a central location for the growth of this club. Thank you for your understanding Kevin
  13. First Meet and Greet was a huge hit. This was a great time, and it was awesome to meet people that I would not have been able to meet otherwise. Was are planning another one very soon, and we would like you to attend. We hope to see you there.
  14. Hi Joel, Is there anything that you need from up here before I come down in the near future> Thanks Kevin
  15. Hi Steve, I would like to see a pic of her if you have one. What size tank would she need? Thanks Kevin
  16. I believe that there is a gas issue and money concern and a issue with participation with schedules. Idel minds can work tricks on people, and give us all kinds of fantasies to dream of.....LOL. That is a great thing. It would be nice to have move then 50-60 people involved for events and even more for club meetings and functions. We will oneday get to a point where that "could" happen, but more of a justification would be needed. What a statement it would make to have a bus load of people take time out of there weekend to do a SOLV Beach Clean Up. Or, bring the masses from the metro to Eugene where southern, mountain and coastal people could meet for a 200 + person event. Or travel to areas in the state to rally together to get new participation in the hobby and put on a workshop. Organization is going to take time, and to show all areas that they are just as important as the next. It is too hard to do everything in one area, or from behind our computer screens. Thanks you for the kind offer, Kevin
  17. I think we have a poss trade up here, if you know what I mean. Maybe a trade for the fish that you are looking for. Kevin
  18. Future Meet and Greet for Lane County will be posted this week. I can maybe do it again in two weeks on Sunday, I will post more on this during this week. The time is not as important as your willingness to show up. Thanks guys your awesome, Kevin
  19. I was looking into Armitage Park, how is that sound Mike?
  20. Curtis, Yes I did, I sent it back to you.
  21. Thank you for your interest, I am working on this issue this week. This is a huge concern of many from Salem south to Eugene and from Eugen to Medford. We are planning an event to be held in Eugene in September that will mirror this BBQ. The difference will be a DIY project that will be the focus and we will have good eats for this event. In our first Lane County Meet and Greet we talked yesterday about 3 DIY project to do before the weather turns sour. The first one will be a project to proivde the much needed and long awaited support for Tanks for Treacher. This will be a lot of fun so please be watching for a new thread coming this week. You are not going to be excluded because of the distance, as much has been in the works for a few month. With this new officers term starting July 1st, things are going to be moved around for several reason. Please support our efforts to move thing closer to the middle, as you are valued just as much as the next. Thank you in advance for your patience, Kevin
  22. Sorry that we missed you, another one will be posted this week to meet even more from Lane County. With the huge indoor play area this is a family fun place, so, bring the family, or kid and give mom a break...LOL. We will be having the first meeting in Eugene very soon, and have 3 DIY projects planned in the next few months. We hope to have one in Aug., Sept., and Oct. along with a short meeting. I will drive to you, all you need to do is show up in your area, that is the easy part. I hope to see more of you in the next few months, and our next Meet and Greet coming to you in Lane County. Thank you again for your support. Kevin
  23. Hey Benny, Sent a PM, and still looking for the others. Thanks Kevin
  24. Hey Benny, I hear that Roseburg has one and Medford has a few. I have wanted to see for myself what is down there, I might make a run to the south next month. Enjoy your time away. Kevin
