1. Update on sold items Hello everyone, AquaC -EV240 with automatic collector and MagDrive 1200 - $200 Light fixture with 3x 250W HQI Metal Halide, 3X 96W Power Compact M80 Magnetic ballasts - $100 This is a six foot custom fixture. It does function as is. The price is super low because the reflectors sort of leave some to be desired. A resourceful DIY'er could really take advantage of this. 75 Gallon glass baffled sump with ported input and outputs - $50 Please note - this has a crack on one end. I cracked it the day I tried to install it (very cranky). It DOES hold water. I sealed it with marine silicone and ran it for 4 years without incident. Thanks for having a look
2. Updated pricing and what still needs to go. Hello everyone, I just updated all of the pricing and removed what has already sold in post #1 on this thread. I will also update the pricing here (see post 1 for photos). PFO 175W Mogul base with ballast and bulb - $100 AquaC -EV240 with automatic collector and MagDrive 1200 - $200 Light fixture with 4x 250W HQI Metal Halide, 4X 96W Power Compact M80 Magnetic ballasts - $100 All Glass Aquarium- 180 Gallon 24" x 24" x 72" - $200 75 Gallon glass baffled sump with ported input and outputs - $50 Thanks for having a look
3. Housekeeping Hello, Just a bit of housekeeping. All live rock is sold! Barricuda pump is sold! Thanks for looking.
4. Strangely enough I was wrong about this the rock is not smelly at all. It is in great shape. SOLD! Thank You!
5. OK about the rocks!!!! They are currently in 5 tubs, I will try to measure them by weight with a shipping scale this weekend. The rock is shown in the picture with the cat (he is not included). The rest of the rock is fragment stuff that I used in the sump as part of the filter system. I guarantee the rock to be seriously smelly. Thanks for looking folks.
6. Hi all, My son moved home a couple of years ago and I had to pull the tank out to make room. He has moved along but I have decided not to re-install the tank. Rather than leave this stuff in my garage maybe someone else can get some enjoyment. AquaC -EV240 with automatic collector and MagDrive 1200 - $200 Light fixture with 4x 250W HQI Metal Halide, 4X 96W Power Compact M80 Magnetic ballasts - $100 Images are attached below 75 Gallon glass baffled sump with ported input and outputs - $50 Thanks for looking.
7. Hi all, So my glass anemone shrimp has decided that it likes to live in the frog spawn coral I have in the tank. Should I worry about this? Most literature says it isn't a problem, has anyone else had experience with this? TIA EASY
8. "cyano" is a cyanobacter that will grow and cover glass and substrate. If it looks sort of like a somewhat slimy translucent red-brown phlegm sheet (YUM!) Here is some more info on cyano. They get distracted and off topic after a bit but there are hundreds of similar threads I am sure on some of the other sights. Calcerous algae is mostly just pretty and will encrust rock glass overflows etc.. It is usually somewhat slow growing. The downside is that the calcerous algae will leech the calcium out of your water to build itself. Cyas, EASY
9. The head is attached to the rest of the skeleton but not skinned over in contact. The polyp is now developing the center portion (at first it was just little balls coming out of the skeleton). I did move it slightly so that it would get indirect lighting from the glass reflection and have since left it alone. Since the polyp is growing back as it is no interference seems to be the best way to go. THANKS FOR ALL OF THE INPUT!!! Cyas, EASY
10. So here is the coral in question. Underneath where the red arrow is located there is a skeletal coral head that I THOUGHT was dead. Low and behold the head is starting to develop another polyp. Should I frag the skeletal area and get it to another location where it can get more light or leave well enough alone and see if it continues to grow?
11. PAR values for Ushio 20K drock59, Since you asked, I was a bit curious about this myself. Here is a link to a pdf with the appropriate information. I don't know if it is normally expressed this way but on this listing the PAR is expressed as PAR value/watt. For the Ushio 250w DE bulbs the values are as follows 250w 10K 56 250w 14K 56 250w 20K 26 For anyone a bit more savvy in this area does that mean that the overall PAR for the 250w 20K is 6500 (250w x 26)? I have an e-mail out to Ushio customer service, if they add anything useful I will add it here. Just wanted to update you on what I found out so far even though you have already gone another direction. The regional manager from Ushio USA emailed and was kind enough to call this afternoon he sent along the same pdf that is listed above. He also stated that par value does not necessarily increase in a linear fashion compared to wattage (old news probably). Apparently the architecture of the bulb and ballast combinations have something to do with it. Cyas, EASY

Frogspawn pic

Yeah it is a pretty large specimen. From what the seller told me it was in a reef tank for about 5 years and the colony was the size of a beach ball (this is only one of the frags). It was a little bit spendy but worth it since it was already an aquarium acclimated specimen. cyas EASY

Frogspawn pic

Here is a picture of my Euphyllia. Am not sure if it is a divisa or paradivisa. It is still a little bit annoyed with me after Yesterday's Koran Angel incident (had to remove him).
