  1. I can give up my spot to someone else if they want in. Count me out.
  2. Did Tim have a Westside Rainbow Acro? I have a piece of his Rainbow tort: It definitely looks very similar to that second picture of yours there. Do you recall if it was more 'porous' than most other acros? That was the odd thing about mine when looking at it was the texture. I do not recall where I got it from. It came in brown and it has been in pretty low light, and yes, growing like a weed too.
  3. Alright SPS experts...I have had little luck IDing these. Both the purple with white polyps (bottom left) and the presumed acro in the middle. The acro is oddly porous. Any guesses?
  4. I believe the waveline pumps are nearly identical to the Jebao (if not the exact same). I haven't owned one, so I cant say for sure. The ramp rate may be the only difference if I remember right. I think there is a brand called Speedwave or something like that which may be in the same boat as well.
  5. Community quarantine! Get like 10 people, all chip in and have someone run a big quarantine tank. Either charge per fish or make it a membership thing to cover the costs.
  6. I have this rock covered in pink/purple cyphastrea and a green polyped toadstool leather attached as well. Gets very bright in higher light, but this piece has been in the bottom of the tank for quite a while. Could use the space more than this piece right now. $35 takes it, I am available this weekend. Same coral, under higher light (old picture for reference): But wait! If you want it, you can also have this brute trash can used for mixing saltwater, holding ro/di, etc. Stand included!
  7. Mine did the same thing last week! Cleaned it about a month and a half ago, no issues or anything until the day I leave for a trip to cali. Thankfully Ssappington saved my bacon and stuck my backup pump in for me, but this makes the second time now that my DC12000 has just up and quit working, both times I was out of state, of course. I love the pump when working, I just dont know if I can keep up with it dying at random. I am used to Mag and Eheim pumps that run forever, so this whole 'return could go out at any point' thing is giving me more gray hairs than my two kids...which is saying something. I am half way tempted to grab the new 2015 model of dc12000 to see if I have any better luck, but dont want it to start dying on me a month out of warranty like this one.
  8. Absolutely. Sending pm... That would work too. I forgot all about feeding rings.
  9. Ah yes! I have read many of his articles over the years. That looks like a pretty handy little box that would do just what I need. I think I may try to rig something up like this. time to get creative!
  10. Ok, I am debating getting an automatic fish feeder to use when I travel (which is quite often). So I am looking for some advice from some of you with experience with automatic feeders...my concern is most of the flake and dry food I would feed would just stay on the top water level and go right down into the overflow, as I would assume the feeders wouldn't drop the food underwater. I have a good bit of movement on the water surface, so am I just SOL or have you guys figured out a trick to get around this? Figured I would ask before I buy a piece of equipment I may end up not using. Thanks!!
  11. My bet is the bonsai winning. Mine is easily taking over the base of my purple rim monti.
  12. Yep im most likely in too. What are the grow out options?
  13. If you want to go new, I have had good luck ordering on Amazon.
  14. Under 'members' the letter tabs don't seem to take ya to that letter group.
  15. Just an FYI, Walmart up in vancouver still had it at it's normal price ($12.76). Grabbed a bottle just in case.
  16. This is definitely the cheapest, easiest, and most effective dip that I have used. To home depot I go to stock up. Any word on if Lowes is discontinuing it too?
  17. Thanks everyone, I think I've got one lined up. Steve, have at that bad boy, and let me know if you need a hand lifting it!
  18. I am helping out a buddy who designs fishing lures, and we need a big (6-8 foot) tank to test flow patterns on some new designs in. Does not need to be pretty at all, would prefer acrylic (but glass works too), just needs to hold water. Scratches are fine, ugly is fine, cheap is best. Stand would be cool but not necessary. Ideally a 6-8' tank that is 24" tall would be what we are after. I know we all hoard aquarium stuff, this is a good opportunity to unload that eyesore your wife has been nagging you about getting rid of!!
  19. Test test...just seeing if my location shows up now EDIT: oh yea!
  20. I have a forbidden fruit frag set aside for ya. I am coming down to Springfield for work for a few days on the 31st. Not sure when I would be able to meet or how long I could hold them in the bag (I think I come back through on the 2nd). But we can probably work something out.
