  1. If you want to go steel then talk to Spectra, one of the best metal fab guys out there!
  2. While I haven't checked mine in over 8 months, I do think the numbers can be used for a reference base. When my tank is really thriving well I test my tank, I've always used those numbers as a baseline for my personal system to know where it excels. Guess I see testing kinda backwards than most...
  3. For anyone that doesn't know these fixtures are bad f'n a$$! Top of the line stuff made in Italy!
  4. Frank I need a piece of that mother of pearl.
  5. I try to maintain my tank at .05 - .08
  6. That's sponge... GLWS, to be honest they only way you'll probably get $1500 out of all of that is to part it out.
  7. That Bandit is awesome, definitely one of my favorite fish!
  8. No Zeo, personally I'm not a fan of the Zeovit method, it involves a lot of daily dosing and a whole bunch of fancy little expensive bottles that nobody knows exactly what's inside. However most of them smell like vinegar... There's a build thread on here that has a little more info about my system. It's extremely simple no gfo, the only nutrient removal used is filter socks and a skimmer. http://www.pnwmas.org/topic/32997-upgrade-time/
  9. Probably so... Bayer really is fairly gentile on corals in comparison to a lot of the commercially available dips.
  10. Usually Ace Hardware has it as well if you have one close by.
  11. I've always used 5ml per cup of water.
  12. Shot a few photos tonight, I've been playing with my feeding regiment a little...
  13. Krzysztof is actually one of the people who recommended trying the FM tubes over the Blue+. I've had Nikons forever so every time I pick up a Canon is feels completely backwards lol.
  14. We can close the thread... Decided I can't get rid of this thing, it's just too [language filter] nice and I know it'll be too hard if I want to replace it down the road. That and my wife told me it's her favorite thing in the tank and I can't get rid of it lol.
  15. I think I might have a spare let me look.
  16. Yep, Travis got two very nice and healthy ones in. But you're right mines still nicer. Ritteri's take time and patience at first but once they settle in and really color up they're a great anemone. Best part is they will rarely ever go for a walk in your tank unlike most anemones.
  17. Nice, James has been making those for quite some time. At one point I know he was working with Kent directly to start selling them his style of scraper since it works about 1000x better than Kents version of an acrylic scraper.
  18. Actually I did a long time ago, really good razors and they're cheap even compared to buying them at costco! Fingers... pfft, you've got ten of them lol. The Tunze does look nice. My daily wipe down is with an Algae Free magnet that works really well but when it comes to the stubborn stuff this works like a hot knife through butter.
  19. So a lot of people have asked me how I keep my tank so clean, well I'll share my secret. **DISCLAIMER** IF YOU CUT YOUR FINGER OFF, CUT A FISH IN HALF, YOUR KID CUTS THE CATS EAR OFF OR WORSE, I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY! This will also slice the foot right off a turbo snail with one gentle swipe... You can probably guess how I know lol. So with that said, it's nothing more than a pair of razor blades hot glued to a Kent scraper. Takes me a swipe or two to take care of coraline or any other stubborn to remove algae. I prefer hot glue cause it's easy to remove the blades and put new ones on when these start to get dull. Best way to remove the blades with with a pair of pliers and NOT your fingers!
  20. Looks great, tank seems to fit really nicely in that spot as well. That shot of you under the house with the insulation makes me itchy though, I hate that stuff!
  21. TONS of great stuff left still get up there, get it before it's all gone kids!
  22. It's an amazing anemone that's for sure... Definitely don't come by these like this very often and they're an easy $400+ I've been back and forth on selling it for the last couple months...
