I recently obtained a piece of pokerstar monti (not colored up yet). It normally looks like this:
and today I came home to this:
the polyps seem to have overinflated themselves. Is this normal?

Hmm, I didn't know yumas multiply by sending out shoots. This is my first one and from seeing the two mouths I thought they split the same way as floridas. It will be interesting to see if mine will split into two.
-
I'm on it! Just fed it today; can't wait for babies. It already has two mouths!
-
Just showing off what I got. It's a birthday present to myself Isn't it a beauty? Not opening fully yet but it's much happier than when it came out of the bag.
-
Oooooh, that's too tempting, I already bought one though, suppose to arrive today.
-
Thanks Matt for the suggestion but i bought one from someone on reefcentral. These things are so beautiful yet ridiculously expensive. I actually bid on the last pink yuma from auctionmethis.com on ebay but the price got way too high; it sold for $172. I paid a lot for mine but not that much, can't wait for it to arrive tomorrow.

Let me know if you have one these you'd like to sell; or where i can get one locally.

IME a great seller. Those are some great prices too. I'd take you up on them except I already have all of those, some I'm sure I got from you, they are still doing great. You have great taste in corals my friend.
IME excellent packaging, very understanding even when I got lost and he had to walk down to 7-11 to meet me cuz I couldn;'t find his place and was 45 minutes late after driving around. Very easy to deal with. Note to the wise if you are going to meet him at work, let him give you directions, Mapquest will not get you there.
I wish I could take pictures like that.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad to hear the corals are doing well. Finding my office was memorable experience huh (laugh)? That place IS hard to find. I remember driving to the interview and freaking out 'cause I couldn't find the building; had to call my then 'future boss' several times and went on foot to look for it. Maybe I'll just have people meet me at the 7-11 from now on (laugh)

***TRADED***I accidentally fragged off a piece of rock with 3 polyps of these which i believe are variable star zoas (or something similar). Looking to trade for another zoa; let me know what you have. I do already have a good collection.

Go ahead and post the link. Ive seen links to rc and others and I would like to see the build thread:D. Nice tank. How hard is it to keep it balanced?
Here's the link:

It's pretty easy to keep. I top it off every morning when i come in and do 10% water change every week.

Just showing off my pico tank at work . It's been running since 10/27/07; everything is very healthy including the goby despite the fact that he should be in a colder tank.
The build thread for this tank is on nano-reef.com, not sure if i'll get in trouble for posting the link here or not.
WTT: Blue Crocea clam for...
in Want to Buy / Trade
Posted
I have a small blue crocea clam that's about 2in. I'm sick of nassarius snails going under the sand and knocking it on its side. I'm looking for mini carpet anemone (naughty) or green clove polyps.
Please excuse the bad pix! it was taken with the cell phone
