  1. Maybe connect to a pump or PMUP if you have one and run citric acid through it on a loop for an hour or so.
  2. Foxface, yellow eye Kole. Best algae control hands down.
  3. Can’t remember which type, but they’re snail eggs. Possibly nerite.
  4. I’d take Dana Riddles review over any other “reviewer” any day.... curious as to who the “ influential reef equipment reviewer” is. RB?
  5. Gotcha. My bad. Not a very helpful post. I blame it on the Jaeger. After using hard to turn ball valves for years, I will now only use these. They do cost more but are worth it in the long run. I have some that are 15+ years old and smooth as butter.
  6. If you need a wrench to open/ close your ballvalves, you’re using the wrong ballvalves...
  7. Make that 5... i have a spare set. Shoot me a PM.
  8. Parkrose hardware sells it. Never had an an issue with it. Just rinse well. I dispose of it around the perimeter of my house. 2 birds stoned...😬
  9. Soon as I’m done with my house I’ll raise another batch. Probably 3-6 months out until I have any fry.
  10. Finding replacements for those animals will be hard and expensive... I wouldn’t do it. If you do decide to do it, let me know. I would likely be interested in them.

    SPS Issues

Rules that out. Lots of good info here. Maybe try getting your water tested by another source. Most lfs’s will test your water at no charge. What kits are you using?

What is your pH? Morning and night? Low pH will kill acros...
  13. Glad you got pics of that... Good man!
  14. Ahh. Opposite of the RF chip. Let us know what they say...
  15. Too bad you didn’t open the driver and take pics. I’d love to see that. That looks like the area where the RFchip is. The indentation looks curious to me. Did ETM let you know what happened? Gotta love their customer support!

    Clown babies

The babies will not make it in a display tank. If the parents don’t eat them, they will be eaten by all the other fish/shrimps. I would consider setting up a separate tank for the parents, if you want your other fish to survive. My Darwin’s killed everything in my tank before I figured out they were laying eggs. If you want to raise them babies, there’s plenty of information out there on how to do it. I’ll post a link to my thread shortly. Good luck and feel free to ask questions.
  17. My guess would be... back in the day Hagen mad some pretty good pumps that were called “powerhead” 802/301 ect. The name just stuck. Could also have to do with head pressure(how much height it can pump with hose attached).
  18. It’s AM. (3weeks later).... 😬
  19. Your first pic looks like a ball anemone to me. Very cool critter that I have been unable to keep alive long term. They do pack a sting so be careful what you place near it. They do not get much bigger than that and tend to stay in the shade. 2nd pic looks like sponge. Looks like you have some good live rock besides the aiptasia in pic 3. Peppermint shrimp should take care of that.
  20. I run one on my 525xl and have had 0 problems. I also run them on my other systems with 0 problems.
