  3. Thanks for the great Zoas Matt!
  4. I will take the top Frag of zoas for $20.
  5. Thanks for the review. Yea I think PVC and mistakes go together way to often.
  6. I have a question about your overflow system. Are you happy with it? I hear that it is a very quiet system. I am thinking about doing this in my tank. What has your experience been?
  7. Hi I am setting up a new tank and I need some Chaeto from a tank that has no Aptasia. I am trying to recover from a bad Aptasia episode and I am trying not to repeat the experience. I would be willing to pay a bit for a bag of water, algae, and hopefully a few travel ready pods. Thanks, Fred
  8. The tank is mine! It looks great in it's new home.
  9. Can you let me know if they are acrylic or glass? Also dimensions would be helpful. Thanks
  10. It seems like that should be plenty of filtration.
  11. The more I look at it the more I agree. I am stoked. Free coral. I got the live rock from Seahorse. I am going to glue some chunks of rock around it so that it will hopefully overgrow the rocks letting me frag it.
  12. Cool Thanks guys. I hope it turns into something like this: http://www.melevsreef.com/id/psammacora.html
  13. Thanks Isaac I did a Google images search for Psammacora and most of the images were branching sps. But a couple did look like they were close. I would be really shocked if this coral started growing branches.
  14. Hi When I started my tank about 3 years ago one chunk of live rock had a sliver of florescent green on it that was about 1/8th inch wide by about 1/2 inch long. Now it is about 1.5 inches. Does anyone know what this coral is. The photo does not really do it justice. It is VERY bright green and maybe a little fuzzy but not much. I know what the soft coral on the side of the picture are. They are green palys and they are taking over my tank. If anyone wants any of these let me know. Thanks, Fred
  15. Aggressive I would not call this tang aggressive. At least not with other fish that are smaller. I don't have any other large fish. I would say it is more 'agro' than aggressive. This fish is just so fast and so active that it overwhelms my small fish population.
  16. Thanks all for the kind words about the fish. We call it Beaker.
  17. Hi I have a very healthy 5-6 inch clown tang that I would like to find a new home for. I have had it for at least 2 years and now it needs a larger tank. My tank is 72 inches long but that is not big enough. It has only been mean to one File fish that could not hack it. Otherwise it does not bother my flame angel, anthias, blennies, clowns and other small fish. I don't have any other tangs so I can't say how it will treat them. I see it as a mostly peaceful fish but I read online that it has a bad reputation. It has no interest in bothering coral. It will eat anything and everything. I am asking $50.00. I won't sell it to anyone with a tank smaller than mine. Not sure how I am going to catch it yet but I will figure that out if I can find any takers.
  18. Big Thanksgiving thanks to 'moovinfast' for loaning me the Reefkeeper widget I required.
  19. NET Setup I have been struggling with my NET setup big time. I had to give up for now. I can bring the webpage up sometimes but it does not stay up long enough to log in. I will have to try again when I have the time. If it was not for the fact that a new major software upgrade is around the corner I might have returned it. I am going to cross my fingers and hope that I can get the next revision to work.
  20. Thanks Thanks for the offer! I got a private message with a hook up almost instantly and forgot to look back at this thread.
  21. Hi Are there any users of the Digital Aquatics Reefkeeper that can loan me the RKM-SID so that I can update my firmware? I can trade a soft or stony frag for it. It is a little 2 inch by 3/4 inch black box with some connectors. I guess I might need a cable that came with it as well. I just got a NET module for my RKL and I have to update the firmware in order to use it. Digital Aquatics is out of stock so I can't buy one. I can drive anywhere around Portland to pick it up and return it. Thanks, Fred
  22. Sold to a really nice young couple. I feel a little guilty for helping them into this addictive hobby. Clown fish are such a gateway drug.
  23. I will post a pic Sunday but it is your basic Biocube. The paint has been removed in the back so that the back middle sump chamber can be turned into a refugium. I will throw in a 9 watt compact florescent for this use if you want it.
