I personally would go with having a U.V. sterlizer on your new tank. I have one on my Fish Mostly tank. I like you said.. It can't hurt. But maybe there is a benefit for not having one if its a Reef tank only. That I wouldnt know. I have described to this thread, and I have been enjoying it! Tammy

Just thought I would put this out there. I was looking for a Spanish Hog for awhile, but I came across a Peppermint Hog at Upscales Fish. He is pretty cool, red and white striped. He is turning out to be my favorite fish. Tammy

Ditto on the middle of the night method. I would use a strong bright flashlight and blind him the whole time while I caught him. Another way I have tried was to use a thin piece of plastic( from a poster frame) and used it to divide the tank in half. That way only messed up half the tank. Works if your tank aquascaping is divided in the center like mine. The bottle method works too, but you might catch everyone except who you want at first. I think the bigger the fish the easier it is to catch with the night time/flashlight method. Good luck!!

Thanks Bob. I ended up getting a very nice looking blue line rabbitfish from Travis at Upscales. He is doing very well and is really starting to get over his shyness. From the first day I put him in the tank, he started eating pellets, brine shrimp and nori. I just love him!! Tam

So who is this Blue Ocean Marine? He private messaged me telling me why should I buy from Vance or Travis when I could buy from him? He said he is wholesale only.. yet he was trying to get me to buy from him. I thought he might of been a sponsor on this forum but I dont see his name here. Thats exactly what I was going to say Gill. I have my tank covered in eggcrate yet the little booger still jump out I guess through a opening around the seaswirl. Found him on top of the eggcrate the day after I got him. Tammy

I have a set of 4 used tires that were for our daughters Honda but she no longer has it. They are size 185/70 R14. They have a fair amount of tread on them. They are mounted on factory rims, nothing to look at. Im also putting this on Craiglist. First come, first served, LOL. Tammy 503-977-9633

Hahaha.. Just kidding. As you well know its my favorite fish. Im so glad to see that it really is a Queen angel and not a Blue. Not that the blue angels are not beautiful themselves. Its just that some ppl get the blue and queens mixed up in the early stages. Before I knew the difference, I had bought what was told to me was a baby queen. It grew into an adult, and I couldnt figure out at the time why it didnt have the coloring of the queen. I didnt know at the time that there was a fish that looked similiar to the queen. I loved that fish, but unfortunately I lost it after 3 years. I now have a queen that I got about the same size as yours. It is growing rather slowly in my tank. It does seem to be having a growth spurt. It is getting the starts of streamers. Its crown is forming too. Most of its body bars are gone now. I believe I have had it since around Nov. 08. I have it in with a larger Annularis and Emperator. They all get along pretty good. Some times the Emperator will give it a one second chance. The Annularis(second favorite angel) is the largest fish in the tank. I can have most softies in the tank. My angels will eat zoas though. Im so glad they leave star polyps alone, because I just love these. You will have to come over sometime and see my tank. Would love to talk fishies with you guys. I dont live to far from you. G-BOY This is what my daughters and I say to each other and text to each other. Stands for Good Blessings over you. Almost 30 years ago when my husband and I just got married, he left for basic training. Every night I would pray for him. It took me an hour to say my prayers for him. I prayed for so many things because I was afraid if I didnt say it, that would be the one thing that happened to him. Finally after a week of this, I said my prayers and I told God that from now on when I say Good Blessing Over You, it meant everything I had just prayed for. I told my daughters this many years later, and now we say it to each other knowing it means whole lot. When I hear an ambulance go by I will say "GBOY to whoever needs it". Not many ppl know about our little prayer, but when I read what your going through I felt I needed to tell you. So to you and your family.. GBOY Tammy

I would always prefer to have glass. I know it heavier and all, but like someone said once its in place, you need to only worry about cleaning the glass. As much as I rearrange my tank, I would surely scratch the heck out of a acrylic one.

I keep dreaming that I find this stream where all these really cool fish are swimming in, and I have to quickly go find a net and bucket to try to catch them. Im always in a panic because I cant find anything to catch them with. One time I actually got up, still dreaming, (I sleep walk alot)and got dressed (between you and me, I actually didnt) and got the net and container went to the door and opened it, and yelled out "the fish are coming down the stream!" I woke up completely standing there in the door way. Dang was that embarrassing. Thank goodness no one saw me or heard me. I told my neighbor's wife about this that morning, she told her husband, and that evening he came over with those fisherman boots on, net and container and knocked on the door and said "Hurry Tammy, lets go catch the fish coming down the stream!". Man, that was sooooo funny and embarrassing at the same time.

Well my husband just sold 12 of the 6 packs. He is selling them for 1.50 a pack. He has them on craigslist. No one was biting so he said I could trade with them. But someone just today wanted half them. I tell you, you get two brewers together..... Anyways, still have some left. I need to go down to Salem possible tomorrow, then after that I dont know when I will get down there again. Theres a guy who makes cement yard decor for great great prices. Works right out of his garage. If my froggy is ready, Im going to go pick it up tomorrow. Just called him, its ready, so I will be heading down tomorrow. Let me know if your still interested in these bottles. Could trade for them or you could buy them.
