Man, Shaun would be a GREAT choice for this job, well known in the local area, forgot more than most of know about the industry, high integrity, good personality too. I know if I were hiring for this job, he would be top on the list.

Dave may have some scraps laying around. Give him a shout....I think all you have to do is take some water out of the system to lower it to the max line. I overfilled it too compensate for the volume the new skimmer holds compared to the old one.

I can say that I personally have seen Kim's clam, and, in a word, MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I wish all clams were like hers!!!!!! No really, that maxima is one of the nicest I have ever seen. Shaun, always great talking to you man, I'm glad you are still around. You are one of the only original 3 LFS owners left around with any kind of integrity and I can say if you ever decide to open a store again, my wife and I would pretty much go there exclusively. I can't believe the quality and performance of that skimmer right out of the box. I am going to get them for my systems ASAP.

You can try to keep the cover on the cage longer and move the cage to a room where you can control how much light gets in. You need to try to trick the bird into thinking it is fall and/or winter as long as possible. That is what my vet says to do. My bird gets nippy this time of the year too.
