With all this talk of seahorses, I couldn't help but post a few pics of the amazing new additions to my "family" that Jeff from Cuttlefish ordered from me over the last few weeks. I have never seen such a beautiful group of seahorses in my life. Thought that they may have robbed one of the aquariums in Cali. The reddish orange female that is absolutely stunning. They are also the hippocampus ingens- one of the larger variety of seahorses. So far I they have also been eating more frozen selcon enriched mysis than I can almost keep up with. They also get the occasional phytoplankton enriched frozen brine. I know I am horrible about posting lately... I just have too many amazing corals to stare at and already spend so much time on research for work. However, think you will find these little guys quite attractive. Well, as the epic Saga in the quest for the most beautiful nano, Jeff @ Cuttlefish has once again opened the door for what I officially consider the most alluring tank I have ever owned. In terms of a system, the Red Sea max series is so nice. Honestly the tank sort of just runs itself and I just tinker. I can't take credit for all of the curating, though. The staff at Cuttlefish just sort of tells me what looks good and I buy it [emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I got one of those. It’s made my hobby laid back and fun again. Everything just works. Add a heater, download the app for your phone, and it’s off and running.

haha... Yay!! I am so happy for you two!! Sirena is going to love it. 60 cube is a perfect size. I totally forgot how fulfilling it is to have seahorses. Its an odd with feeling with seahorses compared other aquarium creatures-- I feel like you are always on the search for the next coral, but there is something about a seahorse tank that makes you feel so happy and content. Watching them eat and play is like having a mini family living downstairs.

We just got here today. Staying at a beach house that is pretty amazing! We are on the northern end of Oahu. Scuba certification starts tomorrow, but I snapped some video from snorkeling in the back yard. Definitely a lot of sediment floating around so it kind of cuts the visibility down. Hopefully the pictures and videos are fun to watch. A lot are pretty repeative, but hey! Its awesomeseeing all this in the wild. A lot of tangs around here. And then a bunch of other fish that I can't personally identify. Maybe some of you can. And make sure you see the video with the giant turtle, that thing had a shell about 4 feet! Anyway, here ya go!!

Oh I know people tend to overbuild things. I would rather go overkill when doing things for other people. I really don't need anything coming back due to failure.

So for the Ones that do or don't have AC...this coming up week will be HOT as heck! Crank up your AC and keep an eye on your tanks and Or Pets! (Drink plenty of water for the ones slaving away outside!) I was told by a Neighbor on the up coming Temps and I was Like Censored Word. As we just got a New Puppy 8 weeks old I will be keeping a close eye on everything.

If you want to drop box or email me your favorite stills I'll see what I can do. I know a little bit about post production for photography When I dove in the Gulf the Ocean water was 88F at the surface. I can't believe you dove in Hawaii without one. You're tougher than me. I am a complete wimp when it comes to cold water.

Started on the tank construction. Man of man its long. Needed two supports in thr middle to keep the ends from splaying when i glued it. The next step is the daunting one.. solvent welding 20 feet of seam in one shot with no bubbles. [emoji15] Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Take her to the Mediterranean - I heard it's really cold there! (Or not... never letting myself live that one down!) Years before I was interested in the reef hobby, I snorkeled reefs in Maui and snapped pictures of the pretty fish without a clue what I was seeing. A decade later, I came across the pictures and found myself saying, "Look at the wrasse! It's one of my favorites; I can't believe I saw it in the wild and didn't fully appreciate it!" Went to Oahu once, as well, but storms prevented any time in the water. Glad you're enjoying nice weather and having fun diving! Certification is on my to-do list.

I like how you shrunk your welder to make the stand look bigger - you're not fooling us! ? Looks like a good start - can't recall the actual dimensions though.
