gmiller
Up until now I've had only FOWLR tanks but would would like to try Zoanthid corals because of the great colors. I understand they can be kept under moderate lighting, whatever that is. So how much light does it take? Do they have to be handled with gloves? Is there people here that have frags to sell? Thanks for your input. Gary.
stylaster
First i need to know what kind of lighting you are running. Then I can better answer the first question. As for the second handling them without gloves is ok, as long as you dont have any open wounds. There are lots of folks on here selling zoanthid frags check the classified section

jason7504
well i'd say thats enough for zoa's..there more of a low light coral..and pretty easy to keep..dont need to feed them or supplement with anything
pledosophy
I have grown zoanthids under a compact florescent 9w spiral bulb in a 20g tank. Power compacts are going to be just fine IMO. Many of us have extra's zoa's around if you need some help getting started.
