johnsmb
My daughter will graduate this June with an oceanography degree, but the poor kid has never had her own reef tank!! She has a few freshwater nanos that she adores. For her grad present, I’m thinking of a beginner reef set-up. She will be a renter, so it needs to be smaller sized. And I’m buying it, so hopefully $500-ish tops in price. 😉 I’m thinking of the 20 cube all-in-one design from Waterbox with an AI prime light. Salt, sand, heater, refractometer and a few pumps. I’m thinking I’ll hold off on a skimmer for now. Also not sure she will be able to have an ro/di where ever she rents - might have to rely on toting RO from the grocery store.... Is this a decent plan? Any other thoughts or other tanks/lighting I should consider? I really like the all-in-ones for simplicity..... Thanks!! Beth. JeffreyH
For a first tank I'd do an all in one. My first tank was a 20 gallon cad lights and I loved that tank. Definetly go with the AI PrimeHD
