xxkenny90xx
Who knew. Well my 6 year old didn't. Yesterday she asked if she could clean the fish tank (which I usually let her do with close supervision) and I said yes, then I got distracted going through all of my old super Nintendo games with my son. Next thing I know she had pulled the mag float out of my glass sump and used it all over my acrylic tank. Long deep scratched everywhere. Sigh, such a bummer, but totally my fault.
xxkenny90xx
You can't see the scratches in the pic, I was just showing the mag float down in the sump that she grabbed.

xxkenny90xx
Micro mesh? Is there a product I can use with the tank full of water? Explain??
jtarmitage
You can repair the damage with the tank full. Micro mesh or a series of fine grit sand papers to polish it down. It'll take time and elbow grease, but can be fixed.
xxkenny90xx
So this is what I want? Anybody actually try this with a full tank before??
pdxmonkeyboy
There you go. Prepare yourself for an arm pump from hell and a scratch free aquarium!!!
pdxmonkeyboy
be advised.. the micro mesh kit is just sand paper.. So I would just buy full size sheets on amazon and cut to fit your algae scraper. Or.. if your dieing to have another cardboard box laying around then it is probably worth $67. which is a total ripoff BTW. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/cspages/micromeshstd.php?gclid=Cj0KCQiAm4TyBRDgARIsAOU75sqsjcb2vlfv3RtoojE_Kuk4MzDDP1Zz3X6SR_upSfrziq7228k_1QkaAkGmEALw_wcB
