coyote
Does any brand of citric acid work. So many choices on Amazon.
maxicurls
You do realize that there are other uses for vinegar, right? To the literal minded, no need to actually throw it away. π 1
Nicknjo
Appreciate the heads up. Just picked up a 10lb bag to give it a try.Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
TaylorW
Sorry for the terrible pic but will this work? I always have Citric Acid for candy making anyway [emoji16] Great for making my favorite Blue Raspberry Jolly ranchers recipe. I never would have thought of using it for cleaning aquarium parts but if it works I'll give it a trySent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk

1rclifford
Thanks for the info! I've used vinegar to clean everything, I'll now switch to Citric Acid. Anything to justify purchasing the Costco bag of sour patch kids. πΒ
NateDawg
Here is a good example of what vinegar will do to a maxspect gyre shaft. I bought his pump about 5ish months ago used, cleaned it with vinegar, washed and rinsed, then put the pump in storage for a future build. Pulled it out today and had to basically hammer the impeller out because neodymium magnet that was encased swelled up.
