Brazzy
Hi all, I am about to buy my first RO/DI System (4 Stage twist in rodi system by aquatic life). I was looking at buying extra cartridges at the same time when I buy the unit. My question is do the cartridges have expiration dates? Jeffster
Yes, 6 months on cartridges and 1 year for the membrane. This depends on how many gallons you run.
xmas_one
I’d suggest looking at Spectrapure before you pull the trigger on that Aquaticlife.
CrabbyCrabs
At the minimum I'd get a brs unit. I'm going for a spectrapure 6 stage plus extra pre filters in my hydrologic 2 stage unit. I will be on unknown quality water and eventually spring/well. The brs units are not much more than the aquaticlife.
SuncrestReef
I don't believe unused cartridges have any expiration date. Here's a photo of one I have still sealed in plastic, and there's no date printed on the label or on the packaging.
