HeviKevi75PalyZoaLPS
Hello All, I am new to the site and I am excited to learn lots of great tips and tricks from you all. I have a 75g with palys, zoas, candy canes, 2 clowns, pajama, damsel, chocolate chip, brittle star, and 13 hermits (3 different kinds). Tank is 8 years running, corals are 3-5 years. Fluval 406 canister, Hydor 250 internal skimmer, 1600 flow head, 1x 54w 420 and 1x 54w coral plus T5HO. I am looking to set up a frag tank with a sump so I can go to some of the frag swaps. I can't wait to get some new Zoas because I want a Zoa only tank someday. I had a heater crack open and shock my corals. The Dragon Eye corals look sparse but only 2 months ago were flourishing and fully covering both rocks that they currently occupy. They then completely disappeared until I started purposely overfeeding with reef roids. Now they are making a comeback and I am super stoked about it. I thought that I had for sure lost them all. The Over feeding will be counter acted by a phosphate reactor.
albertareef
Welcome! Sounds like you have been at this for a while now - congrats on keeping the tank up for 8 years... seems like most of us have had to start over at least once in that time frame! Glad you found and and hope you are able to find some good tips, advice and inspiration. Good luck with your zoa project.
