Official CNC Zoanthid Grow Out Thread

Recommended Posts

I actually have a new polyp so I am at 7 heads now. Here are some terrible cell phone shots for my update.

Just creeping along, some days it they don't open and other days they are open and happy, not sure if something in my tank is disturbing them.

Looks like it grew another polyp, 9 total. I do see several little baby bumps forming, though. Every now and then, they'll all open up and there are days when they'll sleep for several days with not one polyp open...go figure.
Anywho, they're still kickin'! 7d029cfc79034fe970dad319d1fb61a6.jpgab3fdd64e8fcce6bea24d67e0c5f6f33.jpgc3d3211395acf4522ed9adf49f9c8aa7.jpg

Anyone else noticing an issue with these polyps not wanting to attach to the plug? Mine seems to be growing and expanding but isn't attaching that new growth to the plug at all. Only the original but of it is attached.

No but I glued the heck out of it when it originally blew off the plug. You can apply a little bit of glue to the free floating ones.

By the way is it picture time again ?

Yep. Between the 13th and 27th. I'm trying to hold out as much as possible because I think I see new growth. Lol.

Ha ha! I will do that with the last submission. Mine aren’t growing but they look good and are still alive so I’m happy !

I might be screwed. Down to 4 by the looks of it. One likes like it's been munched on and others are missing. I have a sneaking hunch it'san emerald crab I added recently. Corals have been knocked over as well as taken off their plugs.
